Have you seen these sweet stamps from Stamping Bella? They are relatively new and OH SO PRECIOUS! Check out all the sweet Kettos HERE!
If you just happened upon my blog by accident and you're interested in seeing all the Ketto goodness in blog land today, start at BLOGABELLA and roll through the blogs!
There will be a PRIZE involved! None of us know who yet, but one of the blogs along the hop will be asked to choose a random commentor and that random commentor will win a $40 Gift Card to the Stamping Bella store! OH the fun you will have if you win that prize, SO many fun goodies in that store:)
Here's my lil Ketto card!
I used Tatiana Ketto because she's my favey:) I think her HAIR rocks and she's so funky and cool! The paper I used is Marrakech by Basic Gray. I love the funky colors in this piece and I thought it would be fun to color Tatiana to match:)
I was over at Christy's (Christy S. on SCS) a couple weeks ago and made this card. She made me stop adding stuff to this card otherwise it might be even crazier than it is, lol! Thanks for looking out for me sistah:D

Well, there are LOTS more fun blogs to see so I'm going to send you on your way! Your next stop is the lovely HOPE SPENCER! Enjoy the Ketto Hop ladies, have a great day!

Viva la Verve! June Week 1

Hello out there! It's FRIDAY! Woohoo! It's actually bitter sweet for me because I've had this whole week off of work, and the weekend means that Monday is just around the corner, lol!
Friday also means VIVA la VERVE time, baby! I'm pretty happy with today's challenge, both the sketch AND twist are alot of fun, I think:)
Here is the sketch:
It's a colorful one, lol! Here's my sample:
The twist this week is to use THREE of the following: Colors of cardstock, embellishments, and stamp sets! For my card, I used the following:
Three colors: Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Black (all by PTI)
Three embellishments: Button (PTI), Ribbon (PTI), Flower (Prima), Rhinestones, Brads (BG)
Stamp sets: Up up and Away, Beautiful Kindness (the swirl in the lower left hand corner of the lemon tart piece), and Sweet on You (all stamps by Verve)
See how easy that was? I even used MORE than three of the colors cardstock and embellies! Give it a try, it's much easier than it looks:) Go HERE to see the details and to play along with us!

Hip Hop, I'm still alive!

Man, I have been THE worst blogger this week! Billy and I both took the week off work and we're really enjoying ourselves! We've done alot of shopping, lots of movie watching, and lots of hanging out together:) The weather hasn't been ideal this week so it's easier to keep him home with me than on the golf course;)

So since I have been chilaxin' with Billy all week, I haven't made alot of cards! Any crafty time I have has been spent on a friends baby's book. I did 3 two-page spreads so far this week though, not too shabby! I should have the book done by the time the baby graduates:D
I did create one card this week though, and I used Everyday Adorable again:) I have been really loving this kit!
I stamped "Grandma's Frame" on the front of my card base and then cut a circle to fit inside it from a piece of Bella Rose dp by SU. I saw this layout in the Spring SU! Catty and it really inspired this card:) The chocolate circle with a pink heart is from "Confession: I {luv} Unity". Another SUPAH fun scrapbooking kit! The stamps in Confession are all perfectly sized for scrapbooking, so check it out:)
The sentiment is from Everyday Adorable also. I colored it in with Pink Stickles. The keys (yep, you guessed it! From Everyday Adorable) were colored with a copic and then cut out. I threaded some jute through the keys and through a hole in the heart. Did a little faux stitching and some REAL hand stitching and the card is complete:) EPLS (that's Buck's word, lol!)

Well, I guess it's pretty obvious that I didnt' have any of the teacher stamp sets being showcased this week so I apologize for being out of theme again this week! Hopefully you have plent eye candy from the rest of the team:) Your next stop is the lovely and sweet ***BROOKE!***

Who's your hero?

Today's hip hop is all about heros! And what better weekend to celebrate them than on a weekend meant especially for the heros who lived and died for our great country:)
If I had to say I had a hero, it would be my mom. She is one amazing lady who I hope to be just like. She's really my best friend and it kills me to be so far away from her. She has put up with alot and she deals with it all with such grace. Recently, the falling economy has affected my parents to the point they have to move to find a new job. It will take my mom away from her family (my grandparents and 5 or 6 uncles/aunts/and their kids, not to mention a church family they love. But she does it because she knows it's what's best for her and my sweet dad. I hope that I can be as self-less as she is if I should ever be faced with a situation like that. If your reading mom, I love you and you are my hero:)
I didn't have the stamp sets that Angela is show-casing this week or that many of the other girls will be showing, but I did just get a few new ones, including "Everyday Adorable". This set is so much fun!
The cute little bee, the flower and the sentiment are all from that kit! It's a really versatile set with many fun images in it.
I also used some core-dinations cardstock (the dark blue). I scored some lines in it and then sanded it so the inside color would come out. Then as you can see, I had fun adding all my little details. That's my favorite part of the whole card-making process. As soon as the layout is figured out, I get to add the pretties:)

Well, I hope you have a fantastic memorial day, enjoy the rest of the hop! Off you go to the sweetest chick around, ***LINSEY!!!!!!!!!!!***

Verve sneaks have begun!

There are a whole bunch of FANTASTIC stamp sets being released by Verve midnight on Friday, May 22nd! You'll love them, I'm sure of it...
Today, we're peaking a couple sets and I've chosen a sentiment from the new set called "Sweet on You". This set has alot of fun sentiments you'll adore and turn to over and over again!
The card base is So Saffron. I stamped the background stamp from Wishful Elegance in Chocolate Chip on a piece of Close to Cocoa cardstock and rounded one corner. Next, I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip on a piece of Regal Rose. I added some threaded buttons to the sentiment panel and then cut a piece of scalloped Purely Pomegranate cardstock and adhered it to the bottom. I also cut a piece of Purely Pomegrate for the bottom of the card. The ribbon is by Making Memories and of course my beloved butterfly punch by Martha Stewart! Last but not least, I cut a flourish from the Basics 3 cartridge for my Slice machine.
Hope you enjoyed this little peek into the new set, hop on over to the Verve blog to see more sneak peeks today and every day up to the Friday release! ALSO, come hang out with us for the release party in the Verve Forums. There is sure to be lots of prizes, games, and fun:) The party starts at 9:00 pm EST on Friday, 22 May! Be there or be square!!!

Got KOM?

Today, the Unity Rockstars are celebrating KOM's, Past and PRESENT! If you've ever recieved a lovely envelope in the mail with your KOM in it, you know the joy it brings:D They come to your door, on an 8.5x11 sheet of rubber goodness, all laser cut for you so all you have to do is pop them out and stamp! Seriously, these KOM's get the most mileage of any stamps I own and I'm not just saying that! They're great for Scrapping and Carding!

For my first project, I created a layout of my sweet pooch Luke:
The "happy", "sweet", "loved this day", and the conehead (heehee) flowers are all from the May 09 KOM which you can STILL sign up for! I printed some digi papers from The Digi Chick for my layout. The cone flowers (which I shall forever call coneheads) were stamped and then cut out and popped up on dimensionals, it adds fun texture *I think!* The giant "&" is from my Slice cartridge. I really wish I hadn't got those huge blue recycle bins in the photo, lol! What an eyesore! Oh well, Luke makes up for it:)

I also made a card using the August 08 KOM:
The sweet birds and sentiment are from the August KOM and the stamped background is the Tea Time Pattern background stamp.
I hope you enjoy today's Blog Hop and all the KOM eye candy:) Remember to come hang out in the Unity Forum for a day full of fun, challenges, games, and prizes!
Your next stop on the hop is the SCRAPPING SUPERSTAR HERSELF, ***LYNN***

JBelle Sketch Challenge

Good MORNIN! Or night:) I'm still functioning like I should be after working my night shift last night, now I've got about 2 hours until I go back, lol! I got home this morning at 6:00 or a little after and was knocked out by 7:00. I am happy that I was able to stay asleep until 2:00, I got a good 7 hours of sleep so I should be set for tonite! In the few hours I had between sleeping and going to work, I made this card for this weeks JBelle Challenge! I saw the sketch up on the blog and loved it so much, I instantly had this idea in my head...
I got this stamp by Penny Black a few months back and I'm only just now using it, isn't it pretty? There is alot more to this stamp, but I had to punch it with an oval (nestibility) so it cut a bunch out. I used some of my new Wisteria dp by Basic Gray, LOVE this stuff! Also, the sentiment is from Wishful Elegance by Verve Stamps!
That's all I got today! Have a fantastic day my peeps:)

Viva la Verve (a bit late!)

Well, I'm the queen of procrastination! Here's my Viva la Verve card that I SHOULD have made for this past Friday! The twist for this weeks sketch is to use blue, green, and any neutrals!
My card base is Kraft and then I punched a piece of Baja Breeze and Whisper white with my Scalloped Lace punch. The large flourish in the patterned paper was made with Filigree Fantasy and the small one is made from a stamp in Wishful Elegance.
The sentiment is also from Filigree Fantasy. My favorite part of this card is the sparkly border! I drew lines with my Sakura Quickie glue pen and then dumped some green glitter on and tapped off the excess. I really love the sparkle it adds!
To play along with us in this weeks VLV sketch, click --->HERE<---!
Today was also my day to post my Project Parade challenge on the Verve Blog! This months theme is "It's a Girl Thing!" You can play along and win big! Come check it out --->HERE<---!
Well, it's 9:30 pm here and I have an hour and 15 mins till I'm off to work, yep. My 11 pm to 6 am shift starts tonite, DANG! This is gonna be a rough night, so think of me, lol!!!!!!!!! Have a great day!

I got scrappy today!

I had some more play time today and decided to try my hand at more digi scrapping. Seriously, it is so much fun! Hard to know when to stop adding stuff since you never use it up, kwim? Totally addicting:) Here's my first one, of my ever-changing scrap space, lol! I was just trying some new stuff and grabbed any ole picture I could find and it happened to be this one, ha!
I used papers and embellies from the May 365 Kit sold at Two Peas.

Here's one more page I made today, I am in LOVE with this one!
I was watching a few tutorials on digi scrapping over on two peas and was watching the one by Sande Krieger. I loved her layout so much that I lifted it! There are some differences on mine, but the general idea was hers:) This was one of those fun layouts where you don't want to stop adding things, lol! BUT I wanted to make sure I could still see my handsome honey in the picture;)
In case you're wondering where all this time for scrapping is coming from, I'm working the night shift this week, 11:00 pm to 6:00 am. YUCK! Those hours TOTALLY suck, thank god its only for a week! So here I am, WAY past my bed time, tryign to stay awake as long as I can so I sleep in tomorrow. I don't know how it's going to work, going to work at 11:00 at night, there is something SERIOUSLY messed up with that, lol!
I'll see ya tomorrow with a Monday Card!

*~Digiments Contest~*

Whew, this past week was such a blurr of craziness at work, I just didn't have the time or energy to spend in my craft room! BUT today, the spousal unit went golfing so that left me with some time to stamp:)
My first card is made using a fun sentiment by Digiments. This particular digiment is free for you to download from the Digiments Blog! Michelle is hosting a contest for anyone who creates a card with this wonderful sentiment and then links it to her blog. The winner will receive the entire first release, releasing on the 13th! I have seen all the awesome digiments and they are WORTH it! Here's my card using the digiment:
All the cardstock (White, Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz) are by PTI. The ribbon tab is also by PTI. That fun flower embelli is a chipboard element by K&Co. I bought a whole package of them ages ago and have been looking for a good project to use them on:) The background stamp on the Summer Sunrise piece is by Hero Arts. Isn't that digiment fun? The great thing about digments is that you can print them out any size! I love that! It's like having 10 stamps in one:) Go grab that stamp and play along, I'd love to see what you create with it. It's a free download so if you've never used a digital stamp before, this is the time to try it! Just let me know if you have any questions:)
I had so much fun making this card that I was inspired to finish this next card!
I had stamped the background panel about a week ago with my Guidelines set by PTI but couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it, lol! So it sat for awhile and I tried several different cards with this piece and then finally today it all fell together in a way I'm quite pleased with:)
I love the colors and the fun, retro feel this card has. I also used the tea pot and sentiment from Tea Time by PTI. I just had a ton of fun making this card, even though it might look a little busy, lol!
Have a great weekend friends, I'll see ya tomorrow!

Let sleeping dogs lie...

Look at this FACE! AAACK! I love my Lukie-bear:) He's sitting here next to me, face all squished up in the couch but he's sleeping SO HARD! I was petting him and trying to get him to wake up, but he wouldn't budge, lol! When his eyes finally did open, they were all stuck together and he couldn't open them all the way...you know the way your eyes do at 5:00 in the morning on a PT day when your alarm starts SCREAMING and wakens you from a dream where you're a millionaire heiress on a Saturday afternoon shopping spree? NO? Guess it's just me:) Bahaha!
Everyone else gets to share proud mama pictures of their real babies, so I hope you don't mind my posting some of my furr-babies every once in awhile:)
I do have a card to share! Today, the Monday chicks are all about JEWELS! No matter the size, cut, or color, I love me some jewels! And rhinestones on my cards are just about as close to heaven as it gets;)
I printed some more patterned paper from Two Peas in a Bucket, the paper pack is called "Orchard" by Apricot Avenue. Isn't it purdy? I love the blues and purples! The stamp set is Time for Tea by Papertrey Ink. Another fun set I ordered and finally had time to play with! The little tea pots are so adorable and have a ton of possibilities! I poppped most of my layers up for lots of dimension, now I need to buy more dimensionals, lol!
Jen Buck, Jimmi Mayo, and Jeanne Streiff are for SURE playing in today's challenge so check em out! The rest of the Monday girls were busy/swamped so they couldn't play this go around but we'll all be back next week in force!
Have a fantastic week ladies, see ya tomorrow!

Somebody stop me!

Well, I gone and done it. I dove head first into the digi world and I'm LOVIN IT! I've been downloading kits all day and playing with them! Wanna see something I did today? Okay, this first one is a hybrid project I did!
EVERYTHING except for the stamps and ribbon is digital! I created the basic layout in PSE 5 first, using digital papers from The Digi Chick (I'll come back and edit with the name of the paper pack when I find it!) , and then printed it out on a piece of 4.25x4.25 Whisper White cardstock. Then all I had to do was stamp the mushrooms from the Unity May KOM, color them and cut them out, stamp the flower and turtle from You + Me = Happy, and then add the ribbon! Even that stitching is digital! Is it not the coolest thing evah??? Man I'm having fun:)
One more project I created is for this weeks VLV May Sketch Challenge!
Again, I used digital papers (except for the Kraft background) from The Digi Chick! I printed 4 different papers out and then sewed them down on my card. The stamp in the middle panel is from Because of You and the sentiment is a newly released Plain Jane! I added some butterflies and ribbon and that's that!
I'm afraid I can't turn back now that I've discovered how fun it is to print these papers off and have them whenever I need them, w/out exhuasting my supply! w0000h000!
I created a layout today as well, I'll share it even though I was going to wait, don't want to post too much or I'll bore you:) BUT I had fun doing this today...
These papers are from The Shabby Shoppe, the kit is called Damask and Dots and the title alphas are from Promise. I kinda wish I would have made my journaling a little smaller, but I'll remember that for next time! I'm no professional, but I am happy with one of my first attempts:)
Thanks for letting me share, hope you have a fantastic Sunday!

Digiments!

Hello, hello! How's your weekend going? Ours is going great, it's Saturday night, and the weather today was AWE-SOME! I love nice weekends:)
Something else totally made my weekend! I got a private message on Splitcoast from Michelle asking me to join her first DT for her new Digital Stamp store! She's specializing in sentiments ONLY, thus the name "DIGIMENTS", clever huh? I love it! Well I've had a taste of what she's going to be offering and I can tell you that you are going to love them! I know I do! Here's one she sent to me first, for me to decide if I'd like the style. Oh yeah, I love it!
She's going to be releasing a bunch of great sentiments for sale on the 13th of May, so stay tuned and I'll let you know when they go live!
For this card, I used some dp by MME and some Prima flowers! I printed the digiment out on a piece of Whisper white (SU!) cardstock and then cut it out with my Curved Rectangles Nestibilities die. I decided to sponge the nestibility panel while it was still in the die, I love how it looks! The ribbon is Ripe Avacado by PTI and the brads are by Basic Gray.
I'm loving what I've seen so far from Digiments and I can't wait to share more with you!
