Deconstructed Sketch #111

Hello! I'm just getting back from an amazing little trip to San Diego, boy do I miss it already! Temps were in the 70's, and now I'm back home in Phoenix sweltering in the triple digits again! Thank goodness for air conditioning!

While I was gone, I missed posting my sample for this week's Deconstructed Sketch. Seems like the more expensive the hotel, the less they offer you. Internet was $25 a day in the room so we passed that by, lol! NO THANKS! My iphone got me by for the few days:) Anyways, here's this week's sketch

Deconstructed Sketch 111

This was a fun little sketch! I hope you can play along:) Here's my sample using goodies from Reverse Confetti!

Can you tell I had fun? Ha! I love my Reverse Confetti stamps!!! They are so fun to mix and match. For this card, I used Inner Rock Star and Arrows n' elements.
In this picture, you can see I used one of the arrows from Arrows n' Elements and stamped it in a rainbow of colors to create the striped design. The stars and sentiment are from Inner Rock Star.

Here, the "Take Note" is from Arrows n' Elements. I also used some spray mist from Heidi Swapp and sprayed just the upper right hand corner. I was wanting more of a splotchy spray, but it came out pretty fine. I still love it! I finished this little embellished corner with some buttons, washi, twine, and die cut star border.

Hope you can play along with us this week! Stop by Jen's Blog for challenge details! Thanks for stopping by today:)

Sunny Days

Good morning! Looks like Monday found us again, drats! I really don't want to go to work today, I'd rather stay home and craft! BUT I guess the money for those crafty goodies has to come from someplace right? :)

I was playing around with my Reverse Confetti this weekend, and a new sunburst die from MFT! I love how this cheery card came out, just makes me happy:) THe sentiments are from I Like You, the chevrons are from Arrows n' Elements, and I stamped polka dots from Whole Lotta Dots on the yellow sunburst.

I hope you have a fabulous week, whether you're back to work, raising those kids at home, or just having a relaxing week off:) Thanks for stopping by today!!

Aloha, Sweet Friend!

I got some new MFT goodies in the mail yesterday (SUPER FAST too if I might add...release order shipped on Wed and rec'd Friday before lunch!) and couldn't wait to start playing with everything! I even played in this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch!

Among my new haul, I got this new set called Tropical Sensations! Isn't it fabulous? I love the big bold flowers and layering pieces. Of course I got the matching dies because I'm a junkie, ha! I already had the instaframe die which I ADORE! The sentiment on the bottom of the card is from Lisa's new birthday set, Birthday Greetings

And I finished off the inside because I plan on mailing this out soon! I had to get these birthday dies,  they're big, bold, and awesome! I love dies/stamps that can really take center stage. They're such a great size for bday cards!

Once I was finished with this card, and couldn't find my desk for the mess I made, I just stamped a couple of the flowers on a pink card base I had just laying around, and the next thing I know, I have another card :-)

This has to be the FLATTEST card I have *ever* made, lol! You know how I like my layers and "stuff"! BUT, this card didn't need anything else after I'd gotten this far! I did add some little rhinestones to the centers of the smaller pink flowers, and had to get at least SOME sewing in on this one;) Some of the ink didn't transfer all the way when I stamped these flowers, but that's because of my desk, not the stamps. And after I noticed this, I kind of like it, ha! They look distressed, nothing wrong with that in my book:) It also kind of adds dimension and depth. See, I did it on purpose *wink*

The stamps I used on this one are from Tropical Sensations again, and the the "miss you like crazy" is from Bold Statements. I am also crazy about this new die I picked up, Speech Bubble Frame. How fun is that??? You can use the cut out, or you can use the negative like I did here. Super fun die:)

And that's it for me! Hope you have a great weekend, I plan on staying in the stamp room:) Thanks for stopping by today!

Viva la Verve - Hello!

Hi there! I have a quick card to share today using Jen's sketch for this week's Viva la Verve challenge! As always, Jen's sketch is amazing, I think you should give it a go...

I pulled out Take Note for this card, as well as the flowers from On Occasion, the leaves from Dream Big, and the border from Borderline. I cut the leaves out with the Dreamy Leaves dies and then stamped the matching leaves from Dream Big. The papers are all from BG's new line, Kneesocks, such cute papers!

I hope you have some crafty time carved out for yourself so you can play along this week! Remember, if you submit a card with every sketch for the month, you could win a $100 gift card to the Verve store!

RC July Release Blog Hop

Hello! Have you heard the news? FOUR brand new amazing sets are now available at the Reverse Confetti store!! I seriously loved this release and these stamps!

You should have come here from the Reverse Confetti Blog!  Are you ready to do some hopping today?

I used stamps from three of the four new sets on this card. The "Live.Laugh.Love" border is actually from an older release, Peacock Pretties.

I used lots of tabs and chevrons from Arrows n' Elements...

"You Rock" from Inner Rock Star...

And "Happy Birthday" from Celebrate Cake!

As you can see, these stamps work well on their own but are even more fun to mix and match:)
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Your next stop is Amy's blog! Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Countdown to Confetti Day 3: Arrows n' Elements

Hello! I'm here today with our final stamp set reveal, Arrows n' Elements!

Just sayin'...this stamp set kinda rocks...

I decided to make one boy card and one girl card, to show the versatility of this fabulous set! I love all the arrows and chevrons, lots of pattern building possibilities! I just randomly stamped all the different arrows in different colors and then piled on the goodies:)

Boy Card: All elements from Arrows n' Elements except for "Happy Birthday" which is from another new set, Celebrate Cake, and the polka dots stamped on the numbers, which is a stamp from the new set Lotsa Dots

Girl Card: All elements from Arrows n' Elements except for the "you" which is from Dream in Color

I had so much fun making these two cards! The stamp sets are all so easy to mix together for even more possibilities!!

Here's a reminder of our reveal schedule this week

Countdown to Confetti Day 2: Celebrate Cake!

Welcome to day 2 of our Reverse Confetti sneak peeks! Here's a reminder of what's goin' down the next couple days

Today we're introducing a new set in the key words collection, Celebrate Cake!

I was feeling a little shabby when I started making this card and think it turned out really fun:) I don't do shabby often but I love it when it comes together.
I used the ice cream cone as a banner and then stamped the little cup cake (that is two different stamps) and the sentiment and then added some stickles!
