Last day for the December KOM!

If you haven't noticed, I've been using my December KOM {Delightful Moments} A.Lot. That's because it's one of my favorites! And today is your last day to get this awesome kit for only $25 plus shipping!
I posted this card in my gallery over at SCS a couple days ago but never had the chance to blog it so I thought today would be the *perfect* day for that:) I just love these flower stamps and that sentiment is so perfect! I also love this fun color combination! Spring Moss, Plum Pudding, and Lavendar Moon! I hand-cut those leaves and roughed them up a bit so you can't see the imperfections;) I stamped "Giving it all Meaning" on the Plum Pudding background and did alot of sewing on this card too:) the buttons are a fun addition too!
Make sure to hop over to Angela's Blog for a list of the chicks with eye candy today! And don't forget that the January KOM launches TOMORROW! You'll want this one for sure;)
Have a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR my friends! I'll see you NEXT year;)

*Unity Sneak Peek!*

As you know, January 1st is eeeeeeking it's way around the corner! It'll be here in 4 days!!!!!!!! Hardly seems possible.

Today, the Monday girls are bringing you sneak peeks of the January KOM but I don't have my stamps yet (maybe tomorrow, cross your fingers for me, lol!) so I made something with the December KOM! I think this has been one of my favorites so far:)
I wanted a masculine/simple cards so I chose some different colors for me:)
The card base is black and I also threw in some Smoky Shadow, Soft Stone (both PTI), and this light blue by Coredinations! I kept the embellishments at a minimum, choosing to ONLY go with ribbon:) NO BUTTONS! I know! The flower stamp is from the December KOM and the sentiment is from the November KOM!
Check out what the rest of the super sweet chicks came up with!
Have a fabulous Monday:)

I created a card today using my beloved December KOM by Unity, {delightful moments}

Wishing you a VERY Merry Christmas...

I wanted to wish all my friends out there in blog land a VERY Merry Christmas! It should be Christmas now for all of us! It's Christmas evening here in Oki and I'm guessing VERY EARLY Christmas morning for everyone in the good ole' USA:)
Billy and I had a wonderful Christmas! It rained all day, but that was nice, it forced us to stay inside and enjoy some quality time together! I know it's Christmas and all, but I couldn't go a day without creating so I made this card today, my last Christmas card of the season!
I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #118 for the layout and digi papers from "Holly Jolly" by Sweet Shoppe Designs!
Isn't that paper gorgeous? I printed it on my favorite paper for downloading did papers, it's HP Everyday Photo Paper, Matte.
I stamped the sentiment from Blessed Christmas (by Verve Stamps) in Espresso (Adirondack) ink right on the blue Holly Jolly paper. I punched some snowflakes out (MS punch) and added some silver pearls to the tops. The ribbon, twine, and button are from PTI. Super simple card, but I really love it:)

Okay, well I'm off to spend some more quality time with my sweet Billy, we're watching Harry Potter! Love these movies:)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Adventurous!

So I have been having a ton of fun with my December KOM by Unity, {Delightful Moments}. Don't you love the names of the KOM's? They're so inspirational! While you're checking the KOM out, scroll to the bottom of that page to see this months Incentive Kit! You get "Comfy Cozy" (OMG SO CUTE!) for FREE-just for signing up for this months KOM!
For my card today, I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #53 for today! Another super fun sketch so if you have some time, hop over to her blog and have a go at the sketch!
My card base is Dark Chocolate and the red and patterned paper is from Bittersweet by Basic Gray. I stamped the hot air balloon and sentiment from the {Delightful Moments} kit on a piece of Creamy Caramel (SU!). Looking back, I wish I would have stamped that balloon in chocolate ink too...oh well. I also did some faux stitching cause I figured it would be easier than real sewing in a circle. Turns out I can't do either, lol! That ribbon is from a local ribbon store here in Oki *too expensive for my blood though, I think I'll stick to my favorite online stores!* The buttons and twine are from PTI.

Did you see my sweet new watermark? I saw that Karen Giron sells them! Well when I saw the selection she had I knew I wanted a new one:) You know what? SHE IS SO FAST! I ordered it last night and when I woke up this morning it was sitting in my inbox, awww! So fun:) Go show her some love if you need/want a new watermark, super cheap, super fast, and SUPER CUTE! Thanks karen *psst....I think I need a white one too so you'll be hearing from me again, lol!*

Sweet Sunday on a Sweet Monday!

I had some crafty time today so I spent it wisely and created a card for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #49! It was SUCH a fun sketch, but I fear I took many liberties with it! I didn't mean to, but once I decided on this dp, I simply couldn't cut it up any smaller! Do you blame me? It's from the Porcelain paper pad by Basic Grey!
The cardstock base is Rustic White by PTI (srsly peeps, Rustic White and Rustic Cream are so wonderful...I've traded regular white and vanilla in for these colors:) and the green piece is Mellow Moss by SU! I stamped the butterfly (SU! single) in Sweet Blush and then cut it out, poured on the Heat and Stick powder (SU!) and then added some Martha Stewart glitter! YUM-O! I love this butterfly:) The frame and sentiment stamps are from the wonderful "Birdie Inspiration" kit by Unity! The background stamp on the card base is the Vintage wheel by SU! I rolled it on my Old Paper distress ink (Ranger). The ribbon is PTI, Apron Lace punch is by Fiskars, and the gorgeous white pearls are by Kaiser Krafts!

Well, I got my shabby chic itch out and I feel MUCH better:) Hope you have a WONDERFUL Monday (I know, long shot, but I'm an optimist!)

For the last time in 2009...

VIVA LA VERVE!!!!!!!
This week's sketch challenge is the last for the year *insert sad face here* I figured everyone was going to be spending time with famil the last week of the year so it's an "off" week! SO, that means you have until Friday night, the 26th, to get all of your December Sketches in for the contest! See *THIS* thread for details!
Here's my sample for the sketch:
I'm starting to get worn out on the Christmas cards so I went with a pink card:)
I pulled out an old favorite "Hundred Hearts" (it's on SALE, too!!!) for the sentiment and stamped hearts. Don't you love that heart? The wonky shape is so fun, I think it's my favorite heart stamp:)
The colors I used are Rustic White, Scarlett Jewel, and Pink Pirouette! YUMMY color combo!
Hope you can play with us this week!

One more card I made today, and it's for today's Inspiration Challenge! Anne chose Fabulous Stationary as our Inspiration Site and it's CHOCK FULL of inspiration! I chose THIS card, because as soon as I saw it, the colors SCREAMED at me!
I used PTI's Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, and Spring Moss! Fun color combo, right? I love how cheery it is! I also used "Turning a New Leaf" embossed in white! I layered some buttony flowers on top of the leaves and the sentiment is from Big and Bold Wishes!

Okay, hubby and I are getting ready to watch "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"! It's a favorite of mine, LOVE this movie!! Hope you have a terriffic weekend chickies! See ya tomorrow!

Lord have MERCY! It's UNITY DAY!

I love Thursday! It's Friday-eve and a day to celebrate all things Unity:)
I created this first card with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch! Her sketches are fabulous and this one was NO exception!
And here's my card:
The tree and sentiment stamps are from the December 09 KOM, "Simply Magical"! Isn't that tree to die for? I love it! I think I throw "I love it!" around pretty freely (NO! GET OUT!) but it's true every time:) I stamped the tree in Old Olive ink and then colored the leaves in with various Copics. I also colored the sentiment in with a Copic marker! The paper is from the Girl Friday collection by Cosmo Cricket! That paper is too fun!
Okay, SURPRISE! I made another card, lol! DH is out at a function with his office so I had some time to get crafty tonite. This is another card using stamps from the December 09 KOM!
All paper here is by PTI (Rustic Cream, Summer Sunrise, Dark Chocolate, and Autumn Leaves dp) I colored the little flower with Copics and added some Ice Stickles to the buds. I even sewed! I love how much a little bit of sewing adds to a card, just the perfect finishing touch!
Make sure to stop by the Unity Blog for the details on another fantastic sale! You can also see a list of the other DT girls who are participating today:)
On another note, I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words about my last post, you sure know how to make a girl feel loved:) Thank you so much to every single one of you who visit me so faithfully. I may not reply to each and every one of you, but you are all so important to me, and so loved:) Thanks friends!!!

The long wait is over!!!

I have been hiding something from you, my friends...not because I wanted to! But because I'm a rule follower (boot camp anyone?;)
***I have been asked to be a DIRTY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!! That's right, I'm now a dirty girl on the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen Design Team! It's really surreal, and I can hardly believe I can finally spill the beans! I feel like Jenn might come after me and tell me it's not time yet, lmbo! Lydia Fielder, also known as Understand Blue, is joining me on this fabulous journey! Congratulations Lydia!!
If you are a member of the Fan Club over at SCS, you can see the December gallery "Home for the Holiday's" now (well, after the bugs are worked out)! If you are NOT a member of the fan club, you won't be able to see the gallery. Go HERE to see how to sign up to be a member! Your money goes to a great cause. Splitcoaststampers is an amazing website from which I've gained everything I know about papercrafting:) If you frequent the website, you know what I mean! All the folks that work behind the scenes are amazing and wonderful and can't do it for free;) It's such a reasonable price for all the benefits you receive, not to mention helping out the community you love!

Okay, since I can't share any of the cards I created for this month's gallery, I created this card I can share today! I got my new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps in the mail yesterday and OMG I loveeeey them! These stamps are really huge! Perfect for coloring and using as focal images on your card!
This is Piper! Don't you LOVE that name? If I ever have a daughter, this name is seriously on top of the list. I think it's so sweet:) I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I chose the colors based on that plaid dp from the Eskimo Kisses paper by Basic Gray! I looove
this pattern and the fun, bright colors! I also used some polka's from Polka Dot Basics II by PTI! I stamped them in Aqua Mist on the Aqua Mist base. For a little added fun, I stitched along the edges of the polka's! The mat layers behind Piper and the sentiment (from Verve's Delightful and Delicious) is Rich Razzleberry, one of SU's current in-colors. The ribbon, button, and twine are also by PTI.

Well, thank you for letting me shout my exciting news from the top of the mountains! I hope you have a great day!!!!!!!

**~Unity Thursday~**

Hello! Today the Unity DT is showcasing the December KOM "{...delightful moments} " except I don't have mine yet so I don't have any KOM projects to share!
I did pull out "The Artist in You" and go at it though:)
I really love this kit!
I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from this past weekend for the layout. I stamped an image from "a big box stamp company" in Scarlett Jewel on the background (I know this is contraband and I'm prepared to take my beatings but I really thought it went soooo well with this incredible Donna Downey kit!) I added some buttons and jute (PTI) as well as some leaves from an EK Success punch!
I have some things to take care of so I gotta make this short! Make sure to hop on over to the Unity Blog for a HUUUUGE sale! You know it'll be huge cause that's just how Angela rolls!

Mojo...Wednesday???

It is THIS week;) This week has been so strange, it seems so long yet I can't believe tomorrow is already Thursday! I had completely forgotten about the Mojo sketch so when I happened upon Mojo Monday 116 today, I was so very happy! It's a SUPER fun sketch, I loved working with it!
I pulled out a Verve Christmas set from last year's Holiday release, this one is called Poinsetta Christmas and is on sale for only $8.oo!! I used some more of my precious Green Tea Leaves dp by PTI for this card, as well as Rustic Cream (the new white!), Riding Hood Red, and Ripe Avacado! I added some white Kaiser pearls to the poinsetta's and green circle and some Ripe Avacado ribbon:) I can't wait to give this card away, I love it so much!
If you're looking for a fun sketch to jump start your creativity, head on over to the Mojo blog and dig in! This week Julee has a CONTEST and that means you could win some VERVE BUCKS! That's better than REAL MONEY!;)

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch!

Oh I'm so addicted to Mercy's sketches lately! She really knows how to lay em' out!
I love the offset panels in the back and the main image right in the middle, as soon as I saw this sketch I was inspired!
My cards over the past few days have been darker, more rustic colors so today I decided to lighten things up a bit with a vintage pink and vanilla combo! All cardstock is by PTI (Vanilla, Ocean Tides, Sweet Blush). The dp is Jolly By Golly by Cosmo Cricket! Just got this stuff in today from Eclectic Paperie, OH MY how I love this paper! I don't know if I can use it anymore;) The ornaments and sentiment stamp are by the adorable kit called "Bright and Merry Winter Wishes" by Unity!
I'm going to keep it short tonite! I'm addicted to a new *to me* show called Fringe! This tv show is so amazing and hooked me from the very first episode! So I'm off to watch some more:D Have a great Tuesday!

It's a berry good life...

Isn't it? I know most of my stateside friends are saying "WHAT? IT's 30 below outside!" Well, not here in Okinawa, it's still in the 70's during the day, then it cools off to a chilly 60 at night:)

Well you really came here to see a card, so I'll shush with the small talk! Today is Monday and that means the girls and I have a Monday Challenge card to share! We decided to go with a theme of "Thank You" since Christmas is coming up and we'll all need Thank You cards! Well I had every intention of creating a Thank You card using this weeks CAS challenge on SCS. I got the color challenge part right, but we all know I'm no CAS stamper so the actual Clean and Simple theory behind CAS doesn't always *ever* play out for me, lol!
I like to add a button here, add some bling there, sponge this, and punch that, ha! It's okay, I've come to grips with the fact that I'll never be CAS or fit my cards in a regular envelope. I'm fine with that.

Card base is Dark Chocolate and the dp is from the Green Tea Leaves dp by PTI! I can't get away from this paper, I love it so much! The strawberry stamp is from Berry Good Life by Unity and will be available in January after CHA! The sentiment is from Dawn McVey's Signature Greetings set by PTI.

Check out the rest of the Monday Chicks for some more Thank You inspiration!

Blue Christmas

I've been listening to my Elvis Christmas album and maybe I was channeling his song "Blue Christmas" when I made this card;) I made it using Jen's Sketch for you to Try layout for this week!
This was a super fun card to make! I even broke into my OLD DCWV winter mat stack from like 3 years ago, lol! The ornaments are from Vintage Ornaments by PTI and the sentiment is from Signature Christmas (Dawn McVey's handwriting set) which I *adore!* I added some fun snowflakes (MS punch) with buttons and jute! The sentiment was stamped and punched out with the Wide Oval punch and layered on the nestability tag! The white PTI ribbon was threaded through the little openings in the tag. I sewed around the middle blue panel, for some texture!
I did alot of stamping today but nothing I can share right away! So enjoy the remainder of your weekend! It's Sunday night here in Okinawa and tomorrow is Monday, uggh. Oh well, it was bound to show up again!;) Thanks for stopping by!

The three blue colored cardstocks are by Prism and the white is PTI White. I forget who makes the white ribbon, May Arts maybe? The layout is this weeks sketch by

CPS!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, #50!

Hello! I gotta be running some kind of record with all the posting this week, huh?:) I'm in the cardmaking spirit and love it!
I made a card tonite with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch! Her sketches always look fun but I've never used on, so I was so happy to use one today! I got some new goodies from I {Heart} Papers today, this wonderful paper by MME included! It's called Colorful Christmas!
I kinda flipped the sketch and created a horizontal instead of vertical layout, but it's basically the same! It was super fun! This cute snowman stamp is from "Good Cheer" by October Afternoon and the chipboard snowflakes are by MME!

Okay, now that I got the stampin out of my blood for the night, I'm off to read my book! Have a great Wednesday, it's hump day folks! Just a couple more sleeps till the weekend:)

CC247-Very Black Suede!

Here's a color combo you're not going to see from me very often, lol! Not enough COLOR! I like me some bright, cheery colors, but I guess for a masculine bday card, these colors are perfect! The colors are Very Vanilla, Basic Black, and Soft Suede! My sweet daddy's bday is on Saturday *yeah, so there is NO way he's getting this on time!*
If you're looking at this and thinking "did she put a BOW on a masculine card?" Yes, yes I did:) I couldn't help it, that big ole' empty space called for one, lol! It's a manly bow though, it's black and has rustic jute:)
All stamps are by Verve! The big "DAD" and the word stamp below it are from the set "Protector". The background is a stamp from Bountiful Backgrounds.
I also stamped the inside:
These stamps on the inside are from PTI's Birthday Basics.
Okay, that's it for me today:) Hope you have a great Tuesday, friends!

We're back!

The Monday Challenge Chicks have been playing hooky for the past couple weeks but we're BACK today! Well, some of us are anyway! Some ladies are still quite busy and weren't able to squeek anything out in time, we did just decide to do something LAST NIGHT! Today is an "Anything Goes" day! We just wanted to prod eachother to post SOMETHING! Sometimes, everyday life gets going and you forget the little things;)
My card today uses the November KOM Incentive kit, Love Bug(scroll down under the KOM to see a picture of the entire Love Bug kit!)! This is seriously *THE* cutest little car stamp I've ever seen! And the sentiments that go with it are DARLING, and fit right inside the little license plate!
The paper is by Making Memories, I think it's called Getaway? Or something like that? LOL! I forgot but I don't want to walk all the way back upstairs to rummage through the madness that is my scrapbook room right now, lol! I stamped the love bug on a piece of Ripe Avacado cardstock and cut the window out, kinda looks like you're looking through the windshield, love that! I sewed around the dp and the sentiment and added some PTI ribbon and buttons!
I had some scraps left so I put this little card together too!
The sentiment, which I *LOVE* is from the November 09 KOM! I also stamped the sweet little ladies from a set not released until CHA in January! The paper again is from Making Memories and the ribbon/buttons are by PTI.
Well thats it from me! Hop on over to these ladies to see some more fun Monday inspiration!
AJ, Maren, Jeanne, Jimmi, Brooke, Jen B. Some of them may not have any updates, but I didn't want to leave them out if they changed their mind;)
Happy Monday, see ya later!

Thankful Hearts Blog HOp!

Well it's about that time again, we're upon another fabulous release from Verve! This month, we're all about being thankful so we turned that feeling and the new release into a fun new Blog Hop for you! As you hop along the DT blogs, you'll be seeing peeks of all the new sets, as well as some old ones, so start at Julee's blog and hop your way through the list! If you've landed on me, you probably already know I'm the last one! So thank you for making it all the way to my little blog:) I've been waiting for you!
My whole card centered around the sentiment from "Heartfelt Thanks" , I love the "you touched my heart" sentiment! I kinda went with it, and it looks alot like a valentine, lol! It's okay though, I like it:) The base is a piece of Rich Razzleberry cut out with the largest heart nestability. The Sweet Blush card was created by cutting a piece of cardstock 4.5x8.5 and scoring it at 4.25. I then lined the regular heart nestability so they TOP of the DIE was JUST ABOVE the top edge of the score I created, this way, it didn't cut all the way through, I just got a nice cute little heart shaped card:)
I stamped the heart border from Hundred Hearts in Espresso (MOmento) and then added some cute little heart shaped rhinestones. I added a thin strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock and stitched it down. Then I tied some swirly ribbon and added the cut-out heart (From Hundred Hearts also) and the sentiment! The "Thanks" sentiment is from Celebration of Thanks (LOVE THIS SET!) and I stamped some little hearts from Hearts on Fire behind it.
Well, that's about it for this post! I hope you enjoyed the blog hop! We had so much fun creating for you:)
Now you can head on over to the Verve Blog to finish some fun challenges or to the Verve Store for some SHOPPING! Decisions, decisions...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!

Hello! And HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope you and your families are having a wonderful Thanksgiving day:) Billy and I did! We went over to Christy's house! There were about 10.5 of us there (baby Emma counts too!) and we had so much fun! Lots of food and lots of laughs:)
I'm so thankful for my friends, and so thankful for the opportunity to have met Christy a couple years ago and having grown so close to her:) We're going to CocoK's tomorrow morning with her Mom-in-law and a couple other sweet friends! Can't wait for that pedicure!
Okay, today is also Unity day! Since it's Thursday/Thanksgiving here, I didn't have any time to whip up anything BRAND new, but I did create this card for the Featured Stamper challenge this past Sunday and haven't uploaded it on the ole blog yet, so hopefully not too many of you have seen this card yet;)
You can see all the details on the challenge HERE!
My card base is Rustic Cream (Seriously, this is all I use now! It's the NEW WHITE!) I also used some paper from Green Tea Leaves by PTI and Dark Chocolate Cardstock. The main image is the sweet little fairy from the November KOM by Unity! Isn't she sweet? And the sentiment? LOVE IT! I so love this whole color/style combo, vintage/rustic is in my blood lately, I can't get away from the rustic colors, textures, and patterns!

Well, make sure you stop by the Unity Blog today for the awesome sales Angela has going on! You just have to KNOW they are going to be huge at Unity;)
Have a blessed day, Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!

Terracottta DREAM!

I got my new PTI stuff today and Oh My. The new color Terracotta Tile is just, AHHHHH-mazing! It's a really deep, rich rust orange color, THE color that my collection needed! So, since I loved it so much, as soon as I opened it, I had to make a card!

I paired the TT with Aqua Mist and a bit of Dark Chocolate! You may also see a couple of the new stamp sets! Turning a New Leaf and Signature Greetings! Man, these two sets are going to be staying on my desk for an undetermined amount of time, I can't see ever NOT using them! Dawn's handwriting is so gorgeous, and so perfect for card sentiments! And the leaves, OH THE LEAVES! They make me a happy girl:)
The ribbon is Terracotta Tile and of course my wood buttons and Jute, also PTI:)

So do you like my new digs? I bought a "Blog in a Box" template from Sweet Shoppe Designs and LOVE it! It's SO easy to install on your own, too! Except for if you're me, and dont' understand even the smallest steps, lol! I had to email one of the template creators and she was so super helpful, she helped me get it up and running in no time:) There are all sorts of beautiful designs, but I really loved this one, it's called Hawaiian Sunset, the colors make me so happy!

Okay, anyways, enjoy your day and I'll see ya in a day or so:)

Flower Girl

Okay, I had to get that blue card off the top of the page, SO BRIGHT, lol!
I've had so much fun stamping this weekend! I've gotten so much done and have loved every minute of it. You know those days when everything works out just right? That's how my weekend has been:) It's refreshing, because there are many times I head to the stamping room only to find my mojo has deserted me!
I got some new MFT stamps this past week and have been playing with the Sweet Innocence girls, aren't they precious? I really love this one, Flower Girl.
I started out coloring her with Copics (shirt) but then switched to prismacolor pencils cause I can blend with them so much easier! I also recently tried out the MFT Perfect Panels and I gotta say, I'm lovin it! Blending on this paper is so smooth. The patterned paper is Cherry Hill by October Afternoon, and the ribbon/cardstock is by PTI.
That's all I have today:) Hope your Sunday is relaxing!!! Happy stamping:)

Inspiration Challenge

Hey there! How is your weekend starting off? It's saturday night here in Oki and my honey and I just got done watching Star Trek, such a GREAT movie!

I have had all kinds of crafty time today! I made three cards, but only one I can share today! It's for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge. Stef chose the Aimoobaroo Etsy Shop for this week! I love this little store, so much eye candy! I instantly had an idea when I saw THIS set of buttons! Here's my card:
I know, the blue is so loud it almost hurts, lol! It didn't photograph very well, it's not quite that bright IRL, but it is bright;) The bright blue is Prism cardstock so it has a fun orange-peel texture! I stamped the background "Giving it all Meaning" by Unity on the hearts cut out with my heart nestabilities. The sentiment (Heart Prints sentiments) and flourish (Fancy Flourishes) are by PTI. I also used PTI ribbon and buttons! The cardstock base is True Black adn the dark blue is Enchanted Evening (both PTI).

Well I have more relaxing to do so I'll catch ya tomorrow! Have a great weekend friends:)

Viva la Verve!

Well it's that time of the week! Time for a new Viva la Verve challenge:) You can read all about it HERE!!! I hope you come play along with us!
Here's my sample for this weeks sketch--
This weeks {Twist} is a color challenge: Purple, Chocolate, and Vanilla! I saw this combo on a Martha Stewarts picture on the website and immediately fell in love! The colors are so warm and rich together!
I used the flower from Believe {on sale now! $10 of every purchase of this set goes directly to the Susan G Komen For the Cure foundation!} and randomly stamped it on a piece of vanilla cardstock (PTI) in Plum Pudding ink (also PTI). I used some EK Sucess punches on the chocolate and Plum Pudding pieces. I stamped the flower again in Espresso ink (Adirondack) on a piece of Chocolate and again on a piece of Plum Pudding cardstock and cut them out. I sewed the stem and cut a vanilla leaf for the flower too! The sentiment, oh how I love it. It's so true and such an uplifting one! Uplifting is the corner stone of Verve Stamps and I just love that. Everything about every stamp set Julee creates Ooooozes uplifting-ness, lol! Check out the newest releases here and be sure to stick around for another release next week!!!! You DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!

Donna Downey meets Unity!

Oh man, can you think of a more exciting combination? I think not! Donna Downey and Unity have partnered up to bring you the amazing new "The Artist in You" kit, and let me tell you, this is a HUGE set! The floral images and sentiments are so wonderful!

For my card, I went with another soft, whispy color combination: Lavender Moon and Kraft! I stamped a swooshy floral image in Fresh Snow right on the card base up at the top (kinda hard to see in the photo). Next I layered a piece of PTI dp and sewed it to the card base. I stamped the large floral image in Lavender moon on a piece of Rustic White cardstock and sewed it to a piece of Lavender Moon cardstock, and cut one edge with my EK Success border punch. I notched a half-circle out with my 1.25" circle punch and layered a button inside. Pretty simple card but I really wanted these amazing stamps to speak for themselves:)
Head on over to Angela's blog for a list of more blogs to see! Also, go leave Donna some love for her amazing new Unity kit!

Check out what the mailman brought me today, have you ever seen a more beautiful sight? Once again, I think not.

Papertrey Lovin'

It has been almost LITERALLY forever since I've used any of my beloved Papertrey stamps! As I was parusing the PTI DT blogs, I was inspired by the simple, rustic, and elegant styles of Nichole and Pine! This card I created is a combination of design elements I saw on both of their blogs...
The card base is Kraft and I stamped Background Basics: Text Style II and the leaves from Beautiful Blooms in Fresh Snow ink. The blue dp is by SU! and I stamped white leaves on top of it. The sentiment is stamped in Enchanted Evening on Vanilla cardstock with a layer of Kraft cut with an EK Succcess border punch.
I sewed a cute little Enchanted Evening button on a prima hydrangea for a little something extra:)
That's all I have for today but come back tomorrow for a little Unity eyecandy, there is a new set being released and you won't want to miss it!

FS144-Chrisations.Ink

I did another SCS challenge! Yeah! I have been a scrapbooking FOOL this weekend and today made sure to make some time for a card!
I case'd THIS card by Christine. for today's Featured Stamper challenge. I loved the torn edge and had this idea using Crazy for Daisies instantly! Crazy for Daisies was last months KOM incentive kit by Unity. It's not currently available but will be released for sale soon! If you love this one, you should see the November KOM and incentive kit (free when you sign up for the KOM!)
The card base is Rustic White by PTI. I cut a small piece the embossed dots green cardstock (Bazzill) and glued it on top. Then I stamped the daisies on Rustic White and glued that and the Raspberry Fizz bittydots paper down. The ribbon is Ripe Avacado by PTI. To finish this card off I added a Raspberry Fizz and two Rustic Wood buttons by PTI.
So I've done FIVE double page layouts this weekend! Christy came over yesterday and made her Thanksgiving cards and I've been working on a friend's baby book! Only 4 more 2-page layouts till I'm done, yeah! I have tomorrow off of work so I plan on *hopefully* finishing that baby book! As I mentioned a few days ago, I got a Cricut Expressions for my bday *my honey is so thoughtful!* and yesterday I bought the SCAL V2.0 program and O.M.G. I am having so much fun downloading fonts/dingbats/svg files/ you name it! I can't seem to do anything with all the stuff I'm cutting yet, but I'm having fun, lol! If you have a Cricut and don't have SCAL, I HIGHLY recommend it, it's awesome! You dont' really need any more cartridges!
Okay, I'm watching a movie with my sweetie so I'll see ya tomorrow:) Have a great Sunday!

Viva la Verve! Christmas in the Air...

This week, I showed no mercy on the VLV sketch/twist over on Splitcoast! It's a 1,2,3 challenge (and these are KNOWN to be tough!). The rules for this weeks sketch:
You can only use ONE embellishment (type that is, not one actual brad, button, etc...), you must use TWO colors of cardstock (One neutral is allowed in addition), and you must use THREE stamps! Here's the sketch:
And here's my card:
Card base is Rustic Cream with Enchanted Evening on top of that, and the smaller blue panel is Aqua Mist. The sentiment, from Christmas in the Air, is stamped In Enchanted Evening. I then stamped two snowflakes from Frosty Flakes on Enchanted Evening (I embossed this snowflake with Opalescent powder, looks *so* cool irl!) and the second snowflake on Rustic White. My one embellishment is the ribbon (try as I might, I can't have a card w/out ribbon!)
So that's not so hard, right? Come on over to the Verve forums and play with us! Verve stamps are NOT required:)

How *awesome* is this? It's the Cricut Expression! OMG I can't begin to tell you how in love with this thing I am, it's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! It came with two cartridges so I've been busy just cutting different shapes all evening, lol! Didn't make anything, just playing:)
Now I *Really* gotta start scrappin more!!!
If you have a Cricut, what are your favorite cartridges? It came with Plantin Schoolhouse and Something Accents, can't remember the name...

I do have something to share, a card I made for today's Featured Stamper challenge on SCS! We're CASE'ing Miss BOO this week! Her cards are CAS and amazing, loved her gallery!
Here's my card based on THIS SWEET CARD by Miss Boo!
My card base is Pure Poppy by PTI. I stamped the oranaments from Merry and Bright in Pitch Black on white cardstock and mounted it on a piece of Sweet Blush. The ornaments were colored with Copics *and then heavily with Red stickels:)*
I stamped the sentiment and then cut it out with a circle punch. I loved Miss Boo's simple layout so this was a very fun card:)

Hope you enjoy your Sunday! I did, Billy and I spent the afternoon together and then went out to dinner, it was wonderful:) Now we're hangin out watching tv so I'll see ya later!

CHICHIBOULIE BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the Stamping Bella Chichi hop! We're all here to celebrate the fun little Chichiboulie stamps and hop around to see what other sistah's have been creating! If you didn't start from the beginning, start at Emily's blog and hop through the complete line up!
I have always loved Maisy Sunshine the most out of my chichi's, I know, how can I have a favorite! She's just so cute!
I colored Maisy and the flower with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I *attempted* Paulabella's grass tutorial, EPIC FAIL, lol! It's nowhere near as good as hers, I'll have to keep practicing! I also love how the Bella Babe's shade around their images, again, FAIL but I'll keep working at it:)
The card base is Dark Chocolate and the paper is from the Autumn Abundance pack, all by PTI. The sentiment stamps are Verve, from Worlds Greatest.

Well, in addition to some fun eye candy along the way, there is some BLOG CANDY hidden! Even we the bloggers don't know who has it so make sure you comment on all the lovely blogs:) The winner will get $25 gift code for the Stamping Bella store! The winner will be announced in the Bella forums on Splitcoast!
