Deconstructed Sketch #83 and a DT Call!

Deconstructed sketch Badge

We have a fun sketch to share with you today, and a Design Team Call! Scroll to the bottom for more on that;)

Fun sketch, right? I had SO MUCH FUN with this one, and my Paper Smooches stamps!!

I am WILD about this color combination, it was last weeks colors on the Color Q blog!
I chose to work with some PS stamps for this card, because it's been too long since I've played with them:) The tree, bird, and mushrooms are from Spring Groves and the sentiment is from Pretty Phrases. The honeycomb background is from Geo-Graphic. I'm also throwing this card in for this week's Anything Goes Spark's Challenge!

Hope you find some time in your busy schedule to play along! And if you love to play every week so much that you never miss it, we're having a Design Team call with YOUR NAME on it!

Here are all the details on how to enter!

Design Team Call Guidelines:

Don't be intimidated by the little "wings" on the sides, there are plenty ways to work with them! here's my card using a Paper Smooches set called "Autumn Groves"

I really really love how this card came out, and I think it's all due to the super adorable images by Kim Hughes!! I just love her drawing and handwriting, she's simple amazing:)
I paired the set up with the new Autumn Spice papers by Lily Bee Designs.

Stop by and visit the rest of my SFYTT sister's who have created something for you this weekend! Thanks for stopping by:)

Deconstructed Sketch No. 64

Hello! It's Thursday, woohoo! If you hadn't heard yet, I finally got a job and started on Monday! You know what that means? I get to truly look forward to Friday's and weekends again, lol! When you don't work, the days just blend in with each other and a weekend means nothing to me other than that my husband will be golfing instead of at work, doh! I'm loving my new job too, it's keeping me on my toes! But thankfully, I get off earlier than my last job so I have plenty time to come home and cook and then get crafty!

Today we have a new Deconstructed Sketch to share with you! This is a super fun sketch, I think you'll agree!

Here's my card using Forest Whimsy by Paper Smooches!

The papers are from the Oliver collection from Basic Grey. I just thought the colors would fit Jerome the Gnome quite well. I colored Jerome in with Copics and the rest is pretty self-explanatory:) The ribbon is from PTI.

Now make sure to visit my team mates to see what they've done with the sketch, thanks for stopping by today!!

Rejects...

Hello out there! I know it's been awhile since I've blogged, I'm visiting my mom here in Montana and have a FABULOUS time:) I love it here so much. She lives in the mountains (actually the valley, surrounded by mountains) and I am loving this fresh, cool air! I'm not sure I'll be ready to go back to Arizona next week.

Anyways, since I had some time, and a bunch of cards I created for the latest Papercrafts mag call that were REJECTED (booohoo!), I figured I'd post them here in the interest of keeping some of my readers, heehee!

I give you...the rejects!
These first two cards were for the go-to sketches:

This one uses a a few Paper Smooches stamps and the heart from Verve's Wings of Love

This one uses some goodies from PTI

This one was for the "creative uses of sentiments". I admit, not all that "creative" with the sentiments, but I still love it:)

This one was for the Milestone birthdays call, I love this card:) Can't wait to find someone turning 16 so I can send it, heehee!

And the last one, for the masculine valentine's day card...yeah I know why this one wasn't chosen. Not very masculine, haha!
I showed my hubby this one, and asked him "what can I do to make this more masculine?" You know what he said? "Rub some dirt on it!" Yeah...don't think so buddy, LMBO! Also, is it just my hubby, or do all men open the card to see the inside before even looking at the outside? He's always dumbstruck that I don't have the inside done yet, lol!! I tell him I'll do the inside when I send it out!! *sigh*

Anyhoo, I'm off to the lake with mom, some cousins, and grandma and grandpa! Have a fabulous weekend, friends!!

SC390 and a Sparks card!

Hello! Long time no blog:) We were in Virginia Beach for a week and got back on Saturday, and my mojo has been in hiding! HOWEVER, I went over to Kim's house yesterday and we stamped the day away! I told her she's good for my mojo, haha! I got three cards made while I was there which is really odd for me. If I'm cropping with friends I never get anything done! I'll have those cards up throughout the rest of the week.

I had all afternoon to play with my new Paper Smooches stamps (I got to shop IN the Paper Smooches store, how awesome is that? Talk about jaw dropping!) I got a card made for this weeks sketch challenge on SCS and also the Paper Smooches Spark challenge for the week!

First up is my SCS Sketch Challenge card, using Paper Smooch "Summer Groves"
How adorable are these stamps??? I though this the perfect card for today, being the FIRST day of summer! (Arizona didn't get the message, because it's been summer here for like a month, haha)

Here's the sketch:

I stamped the big, billowy tree once on patterned paper and again on Chocolate Chip cardstock and cut the pieces out. This tree would be so fun to stamp on several different pieces of pp and make a very pattern-y tree:) When I stamped the sentiment, I didn't think it would be that big (but OH how I love big sentiments:), so I had to stamped it on the oval piece too, I think it adds a fun little detail. The fence, bird, clouds, and sentiment also come from the Summer Groves stamp set. There is also a Spring Groves set, and I can't wait for the fall and winter sets! I seriously love tree stamps. Seriously. Oh, and Kim's handwriting!:) I'm telling you, this is going to be a new obsession of mine, I need all the PS stamps!

Next up is my card for this week's Sparks challenge!

This week is a "Cool Shades" challenge and here are the colors for the week!

Here's my card using Geo-Graphic and Giddy Bugs

This card turned out MUCH differently than I had planned! I was going for a clean, graphic card, but once I decided on this sentiment with the chevrons, I wanted to add the lighting bug and buttons! I also cut out some vellum wings for the bug, it's so cute IRL! I also drew the antennae on. The colors I used are Rhubarb, Gray, Silver Lilac (Memento), Harvest Gold (PTI). I think they're pretty close to the challenge colors anyway, haha!

Well that's all I have today, I'll be back tomorrow!
