Sweet Sunday Critters!

Today the Monday Chicks are all about CRITTERS! As you may or may not know, this months Fan Club theme is also Critters, so I have been knee deep in bugs, puppies, dinosaurs, and dragons, lol! When the chicks decided on Critters, I had just the idea for this card. When I was at home on leave a couple weeks ago, I bought every embellishment and patterned paper I could find with a critter on it, and after the DD gallery submissions, I still have a bunch left! I really loved these chipboard shapes and papers by MME from the Abbey Road collection, so I decided to go with it:)

The card base is Aqua Mist and then there is a layer of Vintage Cream, both by PTI. The DP as mentioned earlier, as well as the chipboard embellishments are all by MME. I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #60 for my layout and then the card sorta went wild, lol! I really wanted to use up every last piece since I'll probably never use them on anything else!

Here are a couple cards I created with them!
This is using the two new Plain Janes, Heart Flutter and Valentine Be Mine!
The embossed background was made using a stamp from Accent Notes! LOVE that set for background building! You will too;)

One more, made using Love's Flower (My NEW FAVORITE!)
That fun triple-heart stamp on the background is from Heart's Desire.
Don't you love these sets? I've had so much fun with them and I see LOTS more fun in the future;)

I have been hiding something from you, my friends...not because I wanted to! But because I'm a rule follower (boot camp anyone?;)

Okay, since I can't share any of the cards I created for this month's gallery, I created this card I can share today! I got my new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps in the mail yesterday and OMG I loveeeey them! These stamps are really huge! Perfect for coloring and using as focal images on your card!
This is Piper! Don't you LOVE that name? If I ever have a daughter, this name is seriously on top of the list. I think it's so sweet:) I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I chose the colors based on that plaid dp from the Eskimo Kisses paper by Basic Gray! I looove
this pattern and the fun, bright colors! I also used some polka's from Polka Dot Basics II by PTI! I stamped them in Aqua Mist on the Aqua Mist base. For a little added fun, I stitched along the edges of the polka's! The mat layers behind Piper and the sentiment (from Verve's Delightful and Delicious) is Rich Razzleberry, one of SU's current in-colors. The ribbon, button, and twine are also by PTI.
