Deconstructed Sketch #103

Hey there! Who's ready for a new Deconstructed Sketch?

I'm not 100% happy with my card today, I think it was my paper choices but I just wasn't feeling it!

I flipped the sketch 90 degrees so I could use this Promoted PJ from Verve! The papers are from PTI and the flower stamps are also from Verve's Let it Be

Check out the Deconstructed Sketch blog for a list of girls playing along as well as challenge details. Thanks for stopping by!

I Like You...and....

*sigh* the long weekend is over. Bummer deal! We've had my mother in law here this weekend and had so much fun:) I even managed to sneak away to make a card while she was napping, ha!
I used this week's Clean & Simple sketch for my card

Now, when you see my card, you're really going to have to use your imagination, lol! I promise I set out to use this sketch, and then my card kind of morphed into something a bit different, but I did use the sketch and that's where I got my inspiration:)

I used the new I Like You set from Reverse Confetti! I tell you, with all those fun things to love, I just wanted to smash them all onto one card, but settled with my favorites;) The words were a little too big to stamp onto circles like in the sketch, so I stamped them on banners and then layered then on top of each other. Did a little sewing and added some pearls and that's about it!

If you haven't checked out the new Reverse Confetti release, you really must:) Cute stuff!!
Thanks for stopping by today, hope the rest of your short week is awesome!

Congrats!

I have a quickie card to share today using one of my Taylored Expressions kits! This is the April kit, which I just got, so it's still new to me:)

I love this kit for all the gorgeous colors! The yellow pp and the blue cardstock came in the kit, as well as the ribbon and those flowers and leave stamps!

I love this kit! Now it's time to have fun with my May Kit!!
My sweet mother in law is here visiting for the weekend, so I'm keeping this short! Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great weekend!

Deconstructed Sketch No. 102

The Deconstructed Sketch Logo

Anyone ready for a new Deconstructed Sketch? Here's our sketch for this week!! Nice and simple:)

Except, of course, I cant keep things simple, lol!

I sort of flipped the sketch, you can still see the sketch, I just added a few things:)
The stamps are all from Verve! The sentiment and flowers are from Let it Be, the frame is from On Occasion, and the leaves are from Dream Big. The frame was cut out with the new Occcasions Frame die, the leaves with the Dreamy Leaves die, and the the flowers were hand cut out.

I had a ton of fun with this sketch! Remember, feel free to change it up a bit, as long as we can still tell you used the sketch:) Now hop on over to Jen's Blog for all the challenge details! Thanks for stopping by today:)

Shore Do Love You!

Hey there! I'm here today with a fun little card using one of the new RC releases, Happy Harbor!

HappyHarbor_Product01

I stamped and embosses the anchor, sand dollar, and wheel in gold embossing powder and then cut them out. I mounted them on small banners from MFT.

The rest is pretty self-explanatory. The striped paper is from Simple Stories and cardstock is all from MFT. Thanks for stopping by today! Stop by the RC Store or the RC Blog to see our new release. When you get your stamps and create a card, post it up on the RC 'Fetti Find post HERE for your chance to be this week's 'Fetti Find!

Adjusted Sails

Amber actually made a one layer card? STOP THE PRESSES! It CAN be done!
I don't know if you know or not, but I love layers, and more layers...but today I challenged myself to create a ONE layer card and I actually kind of love it:)

I can't believe how hard it is to make CAS cards..you think it's gotta be easy, there's barely anything there! Well I tip my hat to the CAS ladies because this took me like an hour, lol! It's much harder than it looks, for sure!

I'm kind of in a nautical mood today, even though I live in the desert and the only water I see is in my bathtub, ha! We just had a new Verve release and there were a couple nautical themed sets so I pulled them out. The sentiment is the Adjusted Sails plain jane and the circle and anchors are from Strong Anchor. I just stamped the sentiment first and then kind of added the other elements where it felt right.

I added a little button and some twine to the anchor and then some tabs from the Flag It die set in the upper left corner to kind of balance it out.

Deconstructed Sketch No. 101

The Deconstructed Sketch Logo

Hey There! I'm here today with a fun card with this week's new Deconstructed Sketch challenge.

I used one of the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets for my card, Peacock Pretties!

The blue striped paper is from Simple Stories. I stamped the large peacock feather in Baja Breeze ink on the Baja Breeze cardstock. I love the subtle pattern it created! I stamped the feathers again in Baja Breeze and Lime ink and then cut them out and positioned them around the sentiment. I finished the card up with some rhinestones, buttons, and twine!

Have you seen the new Reverse Confetti release? Be sure to check out the RC Store and grab a few sets up for yourself, you're going to love them! Fabulous quality and very affordable:) Also check out the RC Blog for updates and some fun blog features.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hop on over to the Deconstructed Blog to see the sketch, details, and a list of the other girls playing along:)

Verve May 2013 Spotlight Hops: Day 3--Strong Anchor

We're on Day 3 of Verve's new release Spotlight hops! Today, we're peeking the new sets Strong Anchor, Adjusted Sails Plain Jane, and the Nautical die-set. This is a gorgeous set that I think you love for those masculine cards! I created my Dad's father's day card already, hee!!

My dad is a Godly man and I think this set is just perfect for him...I can't wait to send it off  *guess I better get started on that Mother's day card? Ha!*

This set has a few gorgeous verses, and some fun nautical images and even comes with a coodinating die set! I cut the wheel out with one of the dies and then stamped the wheel stamp in rhubarb ink. The rope border is also from Strong Anchor.

I kept the layout quite similar on the inside of the card and added a couple more sentiment stamps from the set. I really can't wait to send this to my dad, have I mentioned that yet?:)
If the layout looks familiar, this is Deconstructed Sketch #100! It's a two week sketch, so you have another whole week to play along if you want to!

I inked up I Like You again and this time used the Sunny Days sentiment! I agonized over creating those sun rays for what felt like HOURS! I just couldn't get them right! Well this card was supposed to be bigger, but I kept trimming off the rays I didn't like and now have a 4.25x4.25 card, ha! I love that I was able to curve the "i like you" stamp and stamp it on the curve of this circle...

Do you love this stamp set??? Well it and three other stamp sets are NOW AVAILABLE! Be among the FIRST to get Reverse Confetti in your hot little hands:)

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Jess Witty’s blog. How about that new font? I'm *crazy* for it!! This set has SO much fun packed into it, I can't wait for you to see the whole thing! I used the "just" and "because" which are two separate stamps. The dangling hearts are also included in this fabulous set!

I also cut out a couple flowers with the Goodness Flowers die set and stamped the coordinating flowers from Surely Goodness in gray and blue ink. The sentiment is stamped on a tag cut out with the Tagged Rectangle Die and the coordinating graph stamp from Tag Time.  I finished it off with some ribbon, button, and twine and rhinestones! The blue chevron paper is from Simple Stories and the Stone polka dot papers are from PTI.

This set has the "I like You" sentiment plus a bunch of other things we ladies like love:) I used papers from MME and a fun Prima flower that I have in my Prima stash from like 4 years ago, I really need to use those more often, they're awesome! Countdown to Confetti: Dream in Color & Peacock Pretties

Hello and welcome to Day TWO of the Reverse Confetti May Release Sneak Peeks! Did you love yesterday's set or WHAT? Super cute little nautical set, every stamper needs it in her arsenal;)

Today we're peeking TWO new sets, and they are FANTASTIC! Yes I really am that excited, ha!

This card uses images and a sentiment from Peacock Pretties. I stamped the feathers in Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay ink and then cut them out. Someone yesterday commented on my post that they loved the stamps and dies. Well let me set the record straight, there are NO dies for these stamps, just my good ole' fashioned Cutterbee's ;)

I kept this one pretty simple since it has a bunch of bright colors!

My next card uses stamps from the new Dream in Color set...

I knew right away that this was going to have to be a colorful card:) Ya can't have a sentiment like that in brown or gray, now can you? I cut out a bunch of flags with some MFT die-namics and then layered and sewed them down. I colored the "color" in with different Copics. I love the rainbow effect and think you're going to see that concept a lot today, ha!

Well that's all I have for today, I'm so glad you stopped by! Thank you all for your lovely comments yesterday, you really know how to make a girl feel good:)

The first set we're introducing is Happy Harbor! This is such an adorable set and I just know you're going to love it as much as we do!

I used many of the elements from this fabulous stamp set on my card today! The sentiment, lighthouse, rope border, whale, and fish are all from Happy Harbor. The card base is Nightshade from MFT and the striped paper is from Simple Stories. I bought a wave border (EK Success) just for this set, because I know I'm going to use it a ton this summer!

Here's one more set I did, again with the sweet little whale and Swell sentiment!

I can't wait to hear what you think of our release so far! I know all of us at RC are LOVING this release and can't wait for you to get these sets in your hot lil' hands!:)
