Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

It's been about a million years since I've entered a card in a Moxie Fab challenge, but I just LOVED the trigger that Cath chose for the week's Tuesday Trigger! These colors really sing to me lately, I think I'm over all things Christmas'y and ready for some spring colors;)

Here's my card using some stamps from MFT and PTI!

I was inspired by MANY things in the inspiration picture. The simple white curtain with the green border, the beautiful retro rug, and of course, the colors!

First step was to search through my stamps for that background stamp. I new I had one with that shape somewhere and finally found it in my PTI stash. See, there is a reason we must buy every background set we find, never know when you'll need it;)

Next up I had to find a way to create that green border in the white curtain. Well I don't have any dies this large, so I just cut a piece of cardstock, and then marked off a 1/2 inch on the inside of the cardstock, and cut out the frame with a craft blade. The rest really just fell into place. This is why I love inspiration challenges, you just have to let your hands take over and see what they can create:) The sentiment is from this month's Triple Scoop reward set by MFT! I just love all the sentiments and the fonts combined in this set. I believe it will be available for purchase next month, but for now, you can only get it when you spend over $60 (not a hard task;) I also used MFT's Fishtail Dienamics for the sentiment focal point.

Well that's it from me for now! I'll be back;)

The Deconstructed Sketch Number 82

I have a quick sample to share for this weeks' Deconstructed Sketch #82! Usually, we post new sketches every week, but this time we're keeping this same sketch for the next TWO weeks! Since the holidays are always so busy, we're giving you TWO weeks to get this sketch done:) And I know you'll want to play because this is a super fun sketch!

I flipped the sketch and made it horizontal!

The sentiment stamp is from Seasonal Sentiments and the polka dot background (kraft panel) is from Darling Dots, both by MFT. The ribbon I got from the Hobby Lobby and the brads are from Basic Grey.

I'm so happy you stopped by today, now please go visit my team mates and see their beautiful cards!

My mojo has been missing for quite awhile, but I'm determined to find it and bring it back to me! My days just seem "off" if I'm not creating so today, since it's cold and rainy, I decided to get into that stamp room and get inky! It felt great too...kinda like when you go to the gym, and you don't want to, but you push yourself anyway and it feels FABULOUS when you're done! Hahaha!

Today, I tacked this week's Viva la Verve challenge, hosted by the lovely and talented Charmaine!
Here's her sketch for us this week:

So many fun layers!
Here's my card using a couple of Verve's newest releases, Holiday Greetings and Joyous Noel.

Well it's a sad day in the blogosphere today, we've come to the end of the SFYTT journey. She's kept up these amazing sketches for a few years now and I know it's going to leave a hole in my little heart:)

I had some time this morning to get into my stamp room and used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch for my inspiration, as well as my new MFT goodies!!

The sentiment is from the Ala Modes Sparkling Seasons set and then we have the awesome HUGE snowflake die! I added  lots of Crystal Ice Stickles to the snowflake to make it sparkle, because we can't use this sentiment and not have some SPARKLE!;)

The card base is Wild Cherry from MFT and I even used some new pp I got, Sleigh Ride by Crate Paper!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend are looking forward to a short work week and lots of family fun:)

November Sketch for You to Try

sfytt-post-banner

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means we have a new Sketch for you to Try {SFYTT}!
Here's our sketch for the month!

nov2012sketch

Fun, right? And speaking of  fun, we're being sponsored this month by a fun stamp company! It's new to me, but I'm loving what they have!
sweetstampshoplogo

I used It's Raining for my card, love this set!

I'm still rocking the iPhone camera pics, haha! They turn out a bit better when it's light out:)
My card base is Melon Berry and I ran the front through my big shot with a cuttlebug folder. The chevron paper is by Teresa Collins! I sewed that piece down at an angle.

I cut a Curvy Bookplate Label out in Kraft, and then stamped the coordinating border stamp and then cut the label in half. I layered it behind the sentiment piece and then sewed it down. I hand cut the umbrella, added some stickles and a button and then adhered it with a dimensional glue dot.
I added a couple ribbon tabs and some silver pearls to finish this card off.

Well that's all I have to share today! Hop on over to the rest of the girls blogs and see what Sweet Stamps they're using!

Welcome back to the last day of our sneak peeks! I bet you're SOOO excited to get your hands on these sets aren't you? I can't wait for you to get them either and FLOOD the interwebs with your gorgeous creations:)

So today we're peeking a fabulous new set called Holiday Greetings.

I stamped and embossed the large snowflakes in clear and white EP and then ran it through my big shot with a woodgrain embossing folder. The wreath and sentiment are also from this amazing set! I cut a large circle and then stamped the wreath on the circle, added another circle with the sentiment, and then added stickles to the berries, some buttons, and some fab gingham ribbon! I think this one is my favorite card of the release, the white, kraft, and red combo is so fun!

Amongst the excitement of the release, I almost forgot that today is a new Viva la Verve sketch! A new month and a new sketch:) This week is my week and here's our sketch!

And my card using more images from Holiday Greetings!

Again, the lighting sucks because this is taken with my phone and no amount of photo-shopping was going to help, ha!
I love this tree! There are a couple other trees in the set too, which you've probably seen while bouncing around the other blogs! The papers are from Basic Grey's Aspen Frost collection and the ribbon is from SU!
Come play along with us HERE IN THE FORUM!!

It's already day 3 of our sneak peeks! This week is flying by!
Thanks for all the sweet comments so far, I love to read them:) As for the comments on my pictures from my phone, it's an iPhone 4S which I'm pretty sure has the most fabulous camera ever, ha! Well maybe the 5 is better, but I've not had my hands on that one yet! I still prefer the lighting on my real camera, so I'm gonna keep on looking, lol:)

Today we're sharing peaks of TWO new stamps, one is a a new Plain Jane, and the other is Joyous Noel!

The sentiment is the new Joy to the World Plain Jane, isn't it awesome? I love the font! The flowers are from Joyous Noel, I just stamped a couple, cut them out, and layered them:)

It's trick or treat night, so I gotta keep this short as the munchkins are ringing the bell as I type! Now hop on over to the next Diva in the lineup! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

Welcome back to Day 2 of our spotlight hops! Today, the team is shining the Verve light on Merry and Bright! I really think you're going to love this one:)

First off, I have to apologize for the pictures! I can't find my camera so I'm using my phone, haha! GRRR so frustrating! I've turned my house upside down and still can't find it. Guess I need to buy a new one, haha!
My original vision for this card, was to make these circles into ornaments and have them hanging from the top. However, I couldn't get the ribbon/string that would be hanging the ornaments to lay right, so I changed my mind last minute and this is what I got, ha! I actually still love it, just wish my idea had panned out. I'll have to try again:)
I stamped the sentiments and then randomly stamped snowflakes around the sentiments.

I added some Ice Stickles to the snowflakes for a little sparkle:)

And this is just a close up of the fun bow embellishments:)

Now you should be ready to move on and see what the rest of the team has for you today! Thanks for stopping by!

Today, we're peaking the new Peace on Earth set. This set has a bunch of really gorgeous sentiments, all with this same stylized font. It's so gorgeous, I just can't say it enough!

I used a Mojo Monday sketch for this card but forgot which one. The papers are from Glitz Designs. In the background behind the green patterned paper, I cut a label with the Curvy Bookplate Die, cut it in half, and stuck the pieces behind the green paper. I added lots of pearls, brads, ribbon, and a button to dress it up a little:)

Viva la Verve October Week 4

As with the rest of the week, my VLV card is coming a couple days late this week, ha! I can't seem to get ahead this week but I have tomorrow off and hope to get lots more stamping done so this doesn't happen again!

Tosha is our hostess this week and has come up with a super fun sketch! DOn't you love it? Here's my card...

I used some of my new Glitz papers on this card, along with some new (to me) Barrylicious cardstock from MFT! Boy do I love that cardstock, think I found my new supplier;)
I used the sentiment from Lean on Me, the All Aflutter PJ and the matching All Aflutter die set! I also pulled out my Pennant Trim Die for the flags and some fun pearls from Recollections!

If you want to play along with us, visit THIS THREAD in our Splitcoast Stampers Member Forums! All are welcome to play along and Verve stamps are NOT required:) There is a HUUUUGE prize too if you complete all five sketches this month and are selected as the random winner!

Deconstructed Sketch #74

I have a quick card to share today using this week's Deconstructed Sketch #74! Fantastic sketch, hope you can play along with us! Here's what you'll be working with:

Deconstructed Sketch No. 74

Here's my card using a Verve's Happy Birthday Plain Jane and some MFT dies!

The papers I used are from Cosmo's Baby Jane line and I used the jumbo fishtail, harlequin (the diamond border) and flower medley dies from MFT! I think the colors in this paper pad are perfect for generic birthday cards, I really love how this one came out!
I hope you can play along with us this week, see THIS POST for challenge details and a linky tool to add your card!

Now visit my team mates and see what they've come up with:) Thanks for stopping by!
