Strippin' it down!

Hi there! I know I have been quiet again, it's been a long week at work plus my sweet husband has shared his nasty cold with me, so I've been kind of out of it for the past couple days! I do have a card I can share though, and it should have been posted LAST Wednesday! 

As you know (or maybe you didn't, but now you do!), every other Wednesday there is a fun challenge on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog! This week's challenge is a "Strip it down" challenge, to use NO MORE than TWO layers of dp on your card! Easy enough, right? I know you can do it!

I just LOVE these Popcorn Bears by Crafter's Companion, aren't they precious? I especially love this one, Smile the Popcorn Bear, and all his fun balloons:) I colored the image in with Copics on Neenah cardstock.  The dp I used is from Basic Gray. I also used some blue Hero Arts rhinestones on the balloon and the border (cut with an MFT die). OH and one last embellie I used was that Prima rose bud on the ribbon! 

I hope you go and give the challenge a try! All you have to do to be eligible to win is use a stamp carried by the 7 Kids Store! Pink Polka Dots!

Have you heard the news? 7 Kids College Fund now has a Challenge Blog! We're going to be having challenges for you every other Wednesday, starting TODAY! HooRAY!

Not only do you get to play with a FUN challenge, but Tab (our wonderful and fearless leader!) is offering a HUGE prize this week! One lucky lady (or man!) will win a $50 gift certificate to spend in the store! 

Your first mission, should you choose to accept it, is PINK and POLKA DOTS! C'mon ladies, I know you have lots of fun pink polka dot ribbons, papers, embellies, show it off! 

I used the SUPER ADORABLE Birthday Hugs Popcorn Bear stamps by Crafter's Companion! These images are super huge and beautiful, so I kept the layout basically simple (not that I had a whole bunch of room anyways, lol!) The card is a 5x5 square of Sweet Blush cardstock. I used my Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder on the lower half of the pink cardstock, but you can't really see it. I matted the stamped image on a piece of Scarlet Jewel cardstock and cut the bottom with my Traditional Eyelet Edge punch by Martha Stewart. I tied some Sweet Blush ribbon around the card front also, because a card is NOT complete until it has a bow:)

I added a fun rose bud from Zva Creative to the top left corner and sprinkled some pearls throughout!
