Viva la Verve!!!

Hello there! I'm back today with MORE Verve:) It's my week over in our SCS Member Company forums to come up with a sketch to kick off the new month and I've got a SQUARE sketch for you this time!

Square sketches are my favorite! Here's my sample using tons of new Verve...

The card base is navy and the papers are from MME. The two circle flowers are from Brighter Days and cut out with the Scalloped Flower dies. I cut a Sweet Scalloped Tag die and stamped the Sweet Scallop Tag Plain Jane.

Deconstructed Sketch No. 67

Hello! We have a new sketch for you this week at The Deconstructed Sketch! It's a fun one too (aren't they always?:)

Here's my sample using a TON of new Verve goodies!

I went with a shabby look for this card, all due to the MME papers I chose! I also got this amazing silver ribbon at Michaels this weekend and have been dying to use it! I love when Michaels gets their Christmas ribbon in, so many GORGEOUS patterns! 

Anyway, the sentiment is from Stronger Love, the flower stamp is from Lean on Me and the matching die is the Pointed Flowers die. You can also see the Pennant Trim die peeking out at the bottom and the Dreamy leaves die as well! The faux stitching was made with the small border stamp from Borderline.

August SFYTT Reminder!

I can't believe it's almost the end of August already!!! Where did the month go?

Verve is our sponsor this month and we just happened to release a whole bunch of GORGEOUS new stamps yesterday!! I got inky with some of the new goodies and came up with this card!

I played with the orientation of the sketch and really like this as a wide card, gives me more room to add stuff, haha:)

I started with a dark gray card base and then used papers from Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze collection. I love black/gray/yellow combos! The focal sentiment is the new Praying for You Plain Jane. I cut out a rectangle with the Rounded Rectangle die and then stamped the matching frame from Treasured Words and then stamped the sentiment. The flowers are from Brighter Days and have matching dies, the Scalloped Flower dies! The leaves are the new Dreamy Leaves dies and they coordinate with Dream Big.

In this picture, you can see where I added a stamp from Borderline. I think they look like little stitches and it's easier to pull this stamp out then the real sewing machine, haha! Love this stamp!

AnniVERVEsary Spotlights---RELEASE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, I want to say a GINORMOUS thank you to all of you for your sweet words of concern about my dental emergency:) I had a root canal and crown done a few months ago and yesterday it was THROBBING so bad I was in tears! So I called my dentist after work and she had me come in even though she was ready to close. She thought I may need more endo work, so she took my crown off and turns out that the crown was just too big and it was causing pain due to pushing other teeth around or something. So anyway, they did another temporary and I'm getting a new crown! Thank goodness I didn't need more endo though, that's pain, haha!!!

Well ladies, here we are...RELEASE DAY!!

Today we're shining the Verve spotlight on the last set of the release, Treasured Words!!

Sorry about the picture, I messed with the settings and now I can't get it back to how it was, lol!! I used Amy's Viva la Verve! sketch for this week for the layout and kept the card pretty CAS, for me:)

I stamped the sentiment from Treasured Words on the circle. I cut two rectangles with my Rounded Rectangle die and then stamped the frame from Treasured Words and cut off the ends. I stuck them down behind the floral paper so they're kind of peeking out, I think it looks fun:) You can also see a bit of the Pennant Trim die peeking out under the ribbon:)

You'll love this set, along with all the rest!

Today, our featured set is Learning to Sail as well as a new trim die, the Flourish Trim die!

Again, the font combinations in this set are SWOON-WORTHY! I just love the little addition of the banners in the sentiments:) I also used the new Flourish Trim die on the bottom, love this die! Here is a picture of three different looks you can get from this one die!

Lots of fun ways to use this die, I can't wait to try 'em all:)

Today we're featuring a new set called Stronger Love, as well as the new Scroll Plain Jane and Scroll die!

The sentiments in this set are just fabulous, you can use them for your sweetie or for a very good friend! I girl'd this one up so I'm going to give it to a friend, heehee:)

In this picture, I used the Tagged Rectangle die and the matching stamp from Tag Time. I just cut it in half and used each half on a different layer:)

Along with the sentiment set, from Stronger Love, I cut a flower out with the small Pointed Flower die and stamped the matching flower from Lean on Me.

Today, our featured set is Brighter Days along with the Scalloped Flower die set and the Arrow die. 

I used today's Mojo Monday sketch for the layout, it is seriously SUCH a fun sketch! 

I had fun with this card,  I just started laying down papers and then got to the fun stuff, the STAMPING! 

The sentiment and arrows were stamped on Soft Stone cardstock, I love this soft gray! The dashed frame stamp on the soft stone cardstock is from Treasured Words. The scalloped rectangle is from Making a Statement and was cut out with the Rounded Scallop Frame die

 I cut out the flower with the Scalloped Flower die and then stamped the flower.

The paper is Be Amazing from MME, pretty much my FAVORITE paper pad EVER.

AnniVERVEsary Spotlight Hops Day 3 & 4

So I totally goofed yesterday and didn't have my card up! I had some computer problems a couple days ago (was on the phone with Sony customer service for 1 hour and 45 minutes, UGH! BUT the good news is, he fixed my computer and it's running faster than ever:) So anyway, I got my days confused and didn't post my day 3 card. I'll go ahead and post it today!

Yesterday the featured set was Doodled Occasions, here's my card!

The card is 5.5x4.25, but I cut 3/4" off the length so the inside polka dots would show. I just LOVE the stamps in this set, all doodled flowers, bird cages, birthday cakes, and lots of fun sentiments:) I stamped the Bloom sentiment and then a doodled flower on each side. I used the new Pennant Trim die and added it to the bottom. I finished this one up with some ribbon (from Hobby Lobby) and buttons!

Now for TODAY'S featured set:) Today we're featuring a new full-sized set, Wonderfully Made, and a new Plain Jane, Praying for You.

I decided to work with Wonderfully Made for this card...

I started out using this week's Viva la Verve! sketch, but then my card went a different direction, lol!

I absolutely LOVE the font that Julee's used for this release, can you even stand it??? There are a few different sentiments in this set and a flower as well. The flower and leaves I've used here are from the new set peeked on Friday, Lean on Me. The leaves are from Dream Big, but the Dreamy Leaves die and the Pointed Flowers dies are from this release. I added some pearls ala my Schmoopy (Moe, she does this alot and I love it:)

There is TONS more inspiration out there waiting for you so I'm going to send you on your way to the amazing AMY!!!!!
