April Diva Dare!

It's back! The Diva Dare, that is, and I'm up today on the Verve Blog!

This month we dare you to make a card, project, layout, or whatever fits your stamping style using this month's theme - All Aboard!   It has been Grand Central Station around here lately, Julee gave birth to two beautiful baby boys and has had her hands full!  So I am challenging you to use chipboard, corrugated cardboard, or kraft on your creation or project!  We can't wait to see how you answer the dare!
Stay tuned to learn how you could win some shiny new Verve!!

I pulled out my Super Dad, Purely SentimentalRibbon Banner die to create this graduation card!

The card base was embossed with a star folder from Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). I cut three chipboard banners out with the Ribbon Banner die and then stamped the banner image from Super Dad on all three. Next I stamped the sentiment, from Purely Sentimental, and the stars (also from Super Dad)! You know I couldn't stop there, so I added some buttons, a bow, and some silver flat backs.

I gave a little tutorial on the Verve Blog for how to make all those different sized banners with the Ribbon Banner tag! Check it out here!

this is amazing, Schmoopy!! With my son graduating from university this year, I need some ideas for masculine cards! I think the banner die will definitely be part of it and your card as inspiration :)

Hi Amber

I'm the Acting Deputy Editor on Papercraft Inspirations magazine, which is Britain's best-selling papercraft and card-making magazine with over 33,000 readers each month, including a growing number overseas.

In each issue of the magazine I put together a two-page gallery of wonderful, inspirational cards that I've spotted on blogs from around the world, and in our July 2012 issue I'd love to feature your Congrats to the Graduate card which I think is just fab! Would you like the card to be featured in our magazine?

As well as writing about your card and giving your blog address, we would also put a link to your own blog from our website. Our website is http://papercraftinspirations.themakingspot.com The magazine itself would go on sale in the UK on 6 June and overseas at the end of July.

All I would need from you is confirmation that you'd like your card to be featured, and a high resolution jpg image of the card which is suitable for print quality - this can simply be sent as an attachment to an email, and the photo you posted on your blog will almost certainly be ideal. The image would need to be without a watermark as we can't print those in the magazine.

I look forward very much to hearing from you and hope that we'll be able to showcase your wonderful card to inspire our card-makers!

Very best wishes
