Verve Sneak Peeks, Day 3 ~ To the Moon!

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Verve sneak peeks! Can you believe how gorgeous these new sets are? While they’re really aimed at Valentine’s Day, you can use them for any “Just Because I Love You” card! I love leaving these for my husband. I’ll stick one in his truck, or leave one on his desk, just something unexpected. They love that kind of thing!

Today, we’re featuring a new set, aimed at BABIES! It’s called “To the Moon” and is just the sweetest set you’ve ever seen! It’s got animals, hearts, stars, and fabulous sentiments that we’ve come to LOVE from Verve!

This one is a fun little baby girl card I made. The animals in this set are SO sweet. I mean…just look at them! Doesn’t it make you want to go to the zoo? It does me! LOL! 

I stamped three of the animals in Espresso ink and colored them in purple Copics. I stamped the sentiment in a box that I cut out with Nesties. I didn’t pop this negative up, so it looks like  a purple mat is on top of the vanilla square, but it’s really nestled in the frame I made. I thought the rhinestones would frame the sentiment nicely and, really, what’s a card without ribbon???

I can’t leave you with just ONE card today now, can I? I think I may have painted myself into a corner and you’re going to expect multiple cards EVERY day, lol!

I made a baby girl card, so it only seemed fitting to make a baby boy card too...

This one is much less involved than the first one. I wanted to KISSS *Keep it sweet and simple*

I stamped the sweet elephant, who’s name is Emery *aww!* and then stamped the frame around him and embossed it in silver. The rest, is history!

And since SO many of you like my jewelry yesterday, I thought I’d do something in that vain with today’s set! Only I made a magnet!

This was so easy it’s silly, lol! All I did was use that sweet frame from To the Moon and find some patterned paper I liked. This piece comes from Webster’s Pages! Like I said, I just stamped the frame, and them made the magnet!! Easy peasy! Look for a toot in a day or two!

Verve Sneak Peeks, Day 2 ~ Love Notes!

Okay, today's stamp set is my absolute FAVORITE. Ever. Yeah...EVER!!!!!!! Besides all the sweet sentiments, there are two stamps that coordinate with two new dies! The Jotted Heart and Classy Label die! 

The stamp set we're previewing today is called Love Notes! Sweet, right? I had so much fun with this set that I made probably like 5 or 6 cards with it already, lol! DON'T WORRY! I won't paste 'em all up on my blog right now;) But you do get to see THREE of them:) Heehee...

First up, a fun and traditional color scheme!

I went with a CAS'ish design, lol! You like my new card style? CAS-ish? Ha! I say CAS-ish because the layout may be simple but it's still a little too involved to be considered straight up CAS, I think.

For this card, I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then cut out the center with my Classy Label die. I have a real thing for the negatives these dies leave behind, so don't be surprised if you see 'em a ton, mmkay? 

After I cut out the Classy Label, I stamped the coordinating stamp from Love Notes and then popped the die cut negative up on dimensionals. I picked the class "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment, stamped it on a strip of cardstock and then layered it over the die negative. I stamped the small heart from the set in black and Rhubarb Stalk and then cut them out and placed them randomly around the card! The little heart trio's that you see over the scallops are also in the set, fun!

After I was finished with this card, I thought I needed a more "manly" Valentine's Day card. My honey would not stick his nose up at that first card, but he's a manly man and for once I figured I'd try to "man-up" and go for it!

Well, I think I succeeded, and failed, lol! The scallop circle may not be manly, but I think everything else is, what about you? 

You'll notice I kinda stayed with the same layout as my previous card, but added some long cardstock strips and a different sentiment treatment! Again, I used the Classy Label die negative (told ya!), stamped the label stamp on the card base and popped the negative up on dimensionals.

Verve Sneak Peeks, Day 1 ~ Sweet Treats and NEW DIES!

I have a couple projects to share with you today featuring NEW Verve!

Okay, the first set we're previewing is called Sweet Treats and is a SERIOUS treat! You'll find a couple stamps that coordinate with PREVIOUS dies and some seriously lovely sentiments as well!

For my first project, I wanted to do some kind of treat holder and card set. Now, I think it's obvious (since you don't see many gift packaging projects from me!) that I'm not 100% comfortable with altering things or making gifty things. Mostly cause I'm horrible at giving them away, lol! I'm really going to try to give this one away though because I love how it turned out!

How about those yummy stamps?? 

Here, I stamped the swirly heart oval stamp in Espresso ink on the card base and then stamped the sentiment on a piece of vanilla carstock and cut it out with the NEW Embossed Oval die! This die is really fun because the there is a line that's embossed all the way around the edge. It looks really cool up close! Love this die!

I added some buttons, ribbon (accordion folded and then sewn down), and some silver cord!

I have a bunch of these small kraft bags so I decided I needed to start using them, lol! Great time to break them out;) I stamped the same swirly oval stamp from the card on to the bag using Espresso ink. Here you'll also see I used one of the new stamps that coordinate with the previously released Sweet Scallop tag die! How fun is that pattern? I stamped "Sweet Treats" onto the tag and then cut it out with my die! The bag is tied closed with the same ribbon (SU!) and cord from the card, I like my continuity;)

Okay, one more card using the NEW Sweet Treats set!

I obviously have a thing for this swirly oval stamp;) I stamped it onto the card base (paper from The Girls' Paperie) and then again onto a heart (cut out with the NEW Jotted Heart die!!!) I stamped the sentiment (from a set we haven't peeked yet! Don't tell Julee;) onto the heart and then made sure to line up the oval on the base and the oval on the heart and then clued it down with a dimensional! That white label die is from Cuttlebug, and I embossed it with a swirly flourish folder. I finished this card off with three rhinestones, a bow and a button! Super fun little card:)
