Jacksonbelle Tuesday!

Here we are, it's TUESDAY again! I know! I'm so happy, cause it's actually nearly Wednesday for me:D THAT much closer to the weekend! Funny how we start counting down to the weekend the MINUTE the weekend is over, lol! Keeps me sane at work, knowing it's only for five days;)
Today's JBelle DT Challenge is to use ANYTHING available in the Jacksonbelle Embellishments store! Not hard since she carries SO MUCH AWESOMNESS!
I cuttlebugged the Kraft background with my houndstooth embossing folder by Provocraft. The stamped image is by Inkadinkado {LOVE this stamp!} I colored a white Prima with my Copic marker to make it match the browns. I used some dew drops to frame the half circle and the felt ribbon is by SU!. It's hard to tell in the picture, but I added some Cinnamon Stickles to the tree in the sentiment image. I got the sketch for this card from CPS, it's this weeks sketch, #84!
Check out the other JBelle Rockstars for some more inspiration:
Today is the LAST DAY you can enter the September Inkadinkado Sketch Challenge contest! Get those cards in to Lynda before midnight {or you might turn into a pumpkin!...or not.}
See THIS post for the orignal details. Click HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE for the sketches:)
Lindsey has recently gotten some wicked awesome new PRIMA goodies and some new Inka stamps! Check em out before I put in my order, I'm gonna do some damage to the Prima shelf;)

Got a quick ten minutes?

Make a card! Today, myself and the other three Monday Challenge Chicks decided to challenge ourselves to create a card in only 10 minutes! No other limits, just had to be made in 10 minutes. It's actually a really fun challenge, I kept peekin at my watch, trying to beat that minute hand! Nothing like a little friendly pressure:)
This card measures 4.25x5.5 but is folded in half long ways! I used the kit "Floral Fantastical" by Unity Stamp Co. The colors I used are Tempting Turqouise and Soft Sky, plus white and vellum!
If you hit a slump in your card making, try to limit yourself to a quick and easy 10 minute card, I bet the mojo will start flowing when you only have a little time to create!
I'm tired tonite, so I'm not really chatty, but make sure you check out AJ, Maren, and Jennifer's 10 minute creations!

Sketch cards

It was rainy and yucky here today in Oki so I worked on a couple sketch cards! The first one is for Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge, I used the cute little owl from the Stampin Up! Mini catelog set called Love Owl-ways! The paper is from Maine Blueberry.

My next card is one that I created using Sketch #25 from Sketch This: Cards! I was just looking for a fun sketch and found this one!

I used my Bella Toile background stamp on the Pink Pirouette cardstock and the green piece is from Bella Rose. The sentiment stamp and the little flower are from Bella Blossoms! I added some dew drops for a little filler, the big circle looked too bare, heehee:)

This last card I made yesterday while over stamping with Christy and Missy! We had fun, chattin, listening to 80's music, and stampin!

The set I used for this card is Kindred Spirits. The dp is from Sweet Always. This was a fun card to make, and it was pretty simple!

Well peeps, I'm off, gotta get a shower and get ready for bed! Monday is sneakin up on me, BAH!

Have a great Sunday!

It's "Verve" O' Clock!

Yeah, that was corny, my bad.

I have neglected my Verve stamps for FAR TOO LONG! It was my turn to post on the Verve Blog for our September Project Parade! This months theme is "Gettin' Krafty"! The challenge is to use Kraft cardstock or some other natural type embellishments. Here is my card!

I used the newest stamp sets from this past release, Abundant Blessings and So Happy! This CARD makes me SO Happy! I love Kraft and when I got to pair it with Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss, it was heaven!:)

If you want to play along in our challenge and win $15 Verve Bucks, see THIS post on the Verve Blog for the details!

In keeping with the Verve theme today, I have a couple other Verve projects to share! This one is one I made in about 15 minutes last night. I was getting ready to climb into bed, I walked past my scrapbook room to shut the lights off and caught a glimpse of this scrap of October Afternoon dp sitting on my table. I don't how it happened but I was immediately inspired and created this card!

The dp is by October Afternoon and the ADORABLE bird stamp and sentiment are from Birthday Surprise! I just love the flourishey birdies in Julee's latest stamps! I added Gold Ice Stickles to all the flourishes.

My last card is for this weeks Verve Diva Challenge issued by Jen Del Muro! Her challenge was to use PURPLE as your main color! No problemo! I love purple!

I also love CUPCAKES! Verve Cupcakes to be exact! These stamps are from Cupcake Affair. I paper pieced the top of the cupcake with the patterned paper from Papertrey Ink in the Guidlines collection. The Lavender Moon and Plum Pudding cardstock, and Plum Pudding satin ribbon are also by Papertrey Ink. I also added some purple pearls by Keiser Crafts to add a little detail. If this sketch looks familiar, it should! It's this weeks CPS {#83} Sketch! FUN one!

So I'm watching the Season Premier of Survivor! Dude, these teams are so jacked up, lol! And what about the hot doctor? Why do my doctors never look like that? They're always old and crusty, lol! Oh well, what're you gonna do? I sorta feel old for the two older folks in this season, mostly for the old lady. She's so sweet but so clueless. *sigh*. I need to be on this show, I'd show em how to survive! Except, I wouldn't be running around in my bra like all the chicks do this season. WTH? And the one hot guy was runnin around in his jockeys? Where are they? The mansion? NO! It's AFRICA people, ever here of Malria? Yellow Fever? Encephalitis? PShaw.

Ya'll have a great FRIDAY! See ya tomorrow!

You don't want to miss this month, and I now have the October KOM in my possession and you REALLY don't want to miss IT, EITHER!

First off, this card is made using my Giggle Grove, Gratitude=Joy, and the butterfly is from the September KOM! I actually was blurfing a few days ago and saw THIS card by Lauren meader and loved the layout! This card is also for Tuesday's Color Combo challenge using Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, and Vanilla. I added some Dew Drops to the little circles on the tree for dimension, I love it!

My next card uses the Trick or Treat Peeps set! It's for Wednesday's Sketch Challenge, also:) I love the images in this halloween set! I used the candy stamp for the random stamped background.

My last card, using the stamps from the September KOM is a fun one! I stamped the line of trees in different colored inks and used my SAJ to line them up evenly! ((The scalloped border stamp is by SU!, it's not in the September KOM))

Make sure you check out the Unity Blog for today's Specials! You DON'T WANT TO MISS THEM! NEW STAMPS are being released! I know I'm excited cause I haven't even seen 'em yet!

Fun one, right? Lots of possibilities! Here's my card:

Yeah, I went vintage again! I love the soft colors and textures of vintage, don't be surprised if you see it more often;) The card base is Pink Pirouette as is the ribbon. The dp is by October Afternoon and so is the bird and frame stamp! Those two stamps are from the "Real Vintage" set;) The sentiment is by Inkadinkado and the flower is obviously a Prima from the big ole' bucket of flowers! "Sew" challenging...

NOT! I LOVE to sew on my cards! It's sort of a pain to drag out the ole' sewing machine every time, but the end results are always worth it to me! AJ, Maren, Jennifer and I decided to post cards with Sewing included on them today! Here's my card *NO STAMPING REQUIRED!*

EVERYTHING you see on this card, with the exception of the kraft base, prima flower and button, is by Crate Paper from the Blue Hill Collection! This is part of my loot from the PC Gallery Idol contest! I'm seriously in love with the colors in this paper, awesome! I love how vintage my card came out. I love vintage and shabby but have a hard time coming up with cards that show-case that style. At least this one turned out pretty well:)

So you wanna hear my bad news? I had a follow-up appt for my ankle today. I had an MRI last week on it and the results are that I have some serious nastiness going on. I guess I have a cyst growing on my tibia down by my ankle bones and have basically no cartilage around my talis? The bone is being chewed down by other bone! No one on this puny island can fix it so I'm going to be Medi-vac'd to Washington state to see a specialist and have him perform some kinda surgery on it. They have to drill some holes in my talis, let it bleed out and re-grow cartilidge. I'll be off my ankle for 6 to 8 weeks! HOLY CRAP! I don't know when it's happening, but I'm pretty sure it'll be soon. I really hope it doesn't interfere with me going home to be with mom and dad in late November! I already have plane tickets! ACK! So pray it goes well, I'll keep ya'll posted.

Also, my little man, Jesse, got upset when he was reading my blog and saw that I only posted a picture of Luke, Jesse wants to say "How's it hangin, babes!"

Okay, I'm off to read some more "New Moon". Gotta love this book!

Welcome to my NEW home!

Well, I've decided that I need to spruce my blog up, make it more ME! I contacted Veronica at VKdesignco for some help and she just took my vision and RAN with it! Do you love it as much as I do? If you feel like you may want your blog spruced up a little, I HIGHLY recommend Veronica! She pimped pretty much a vast majority of the Unity DT's blogs and I am SO happy with how it turned out.

The decision to spruce my blog up meant that I needed to move BACK to Blogger! No problem for me, I don't mind not having to pay for the blogging service, lol! Blogger has made many great upgrades since I've been over at Typepad so I've been thinking of moving back anyways. If you were a subscriber of my Typepad blog, I hope you'll stick with me! Just enter your email under my picture on the left to keep recieving updates:) My blog address is the same, it's just .blogspot.com instead of .typepad.com :)

I do have a card to share today! It's for today's Featured Stamper challenge! Sunday's are one of my favorite SCS challenge days. You get to see galleries you never would have found had it NOT been for this challenge! Today's featured stamper is Shannon, aka "E3stamper"! Her gallery is full of fun cards! Click {HERE} to see the card of Shannon's that I cased! Here is my Eco Chic card!

The stamp set I used is called "Eco Chic" by Unity. I saw that tree stamp and fell in LOVE with this set! I used a Kraft base in 4.25x4.25 and then a square of chocolate chip cardstock run through the cuttlebug. I then added a piece of Kiwi Kiss dp and sewed it all down. The ribbon is by Martha Stewart and both punches are by SU!. I also added some Star Dust Stickles to the leaves (you know I couldn't have a card with NO sparkle!)

So what do you have planned for Sunday? Stamping? Church? Relaxing? Whatever it is you choose to do, I hope you have a fantastic day!

Oh, Luke says "Sup, blog peeps"
