SCRSC #51-Sweet Holiday Wishes

Good morning! It's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS! At Sparkle Creations, we're bringing Christmas to July! I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to Christmas, because I'll be living back in the good 'ole USA!
Anyway, before I get carried away in excitement (LOL!) here's my card for this challenge!

This little cutie is Sweet Treats Emily! And as you can see, she's not technically a "Christmas" image, but just by coloring her in Christmas'y colors and using Christmas'y papers, VIOLA! A Christmas card! LOL!
The patterned papers are from BG's Jovial line, one of my favorite Christmas lines ever! I used my new solid lines embossing folder from SU! for the Cherry Cobbler cardstock:) The sentiment is from Holiday Button Bits by PTI.

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive the adorable Christmas Tree Ruby rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations! See THIS POST to link up your projects!

Now go see what kind of Christmas'y fun the rest of the DT came up with!

All things Unity-Twine!

Hey there! Thanks so much for all your sweet comments this week on my blog, I know it's been a BUSY week here, but I love to share what I've been up to:)

Sarah Henton emailed and asked if I'd be a July Guest Designer for her All things Unity challenge blog so OF COURSE I said YES! Some of you may remember that I used to be on the Unity DT so you KNOW I love them:)

Check out the sponsor for this week's challenge!

If you play along in the challenge for the next two weeks, you could win ourJULY Prize Package {below}! You can check out their fabulous site HERE!

Unless you've NEVER been to my blog before, you KNOW how much I love my twine! And I get all my twine from The Twinery, they have such a huge collection of colors and I just love the quality of this stuff!
Here's my card for this fun challenge...

I wanted to do something really special with the twine, so I glued all the colors down on a heart and nested it inside a bigger heart (Nestabilities). I absolutely ADORE how this card came out, exactly how I'd envisioned it! The sentiment is from one of my Unity Kit of the Months. I can't remember which month, or even which year, but I looked for a sentiment about love or hearts and this one was PERFECT!

Make sure to stop by the All things Unity Blog and link up your projects using TWINE!
Thanks for stopping by today:)

I decided to ink up Reading Millie again! I love any stamps that have to do with reading so this one has earned itself a spot in my "frequently used stamps" basket, haha! I did some paper-piecing on her book this time, I think it's a fun book cover, kind of like what I used to do to my books in junior high:)
The papers are from Fly a Kite by OA.

Here's the hop list, you're next stop is the wonderful Cindy Haffner! Thanks for stopping by today!

Verve July Release Spotlights, Day 3--Small Phrases, and PJ's!

It's time to shine our sneaky Verve spotlight on some brand new stamps! We're counting down to Verve's release party this Friday night, July 8, with THREE days of Spotlight Hops! And since new Verve is something to celebrate, there's abig PRIZE hidden on one of today's hop spots! Just leave a little shout-out in the comments as you hop about for a chance to win the entire July release! You can check out the Verve Blog for all the prize details and deadlines.and RELEASE DAY (well, tonite, anyway, lol)!

TODAY'S Featured Set:

plus the Philippians 1:6, Light Tomorrow and Life is Good PJ's

Today, we're featuring one new stamp set, and three new Plain Janes! I haven't got anything made with the PJ's yet, but those are coming! I do have a couple using the new sentiment set, Small Phrases...

The "Small Phrases" set is made up of a bunch of small sentiments and alot of them will coordinate with alot of other Verve stamps! The "with all my heart" stamp is the one included in the new set, and the "I love You" is from Hearts on Fire. It was fun looking through all my sets and finding sentiments that would coordinate and be able to be used together! Small Phrases is a stand-alone set, I just thought it would be fun to pair it with other stamp sets. I actually sent this one to my husband in a care package yesterday! It was really quick and easy, just punched a bunch of hearts out and then cut the green cardstock and stamped my sentiment!

Here's another one using the "Welcome Baby" sentiment...

I also used the sun and clouds from "New Mercies" and the giraffe from "To the Moon".

Now hop on over to Amy's blog! Her cards always blow me away, so I'm on my way there too;)

TODAY'S Featured Set:
______________________________________________________________

Today, the Diva's are previewing a GORGEOUS new sentiment set called "Words Cannot Express".

I started out on this card using Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday sketch. I just love this sketch, and even took the colors from her sketch image, lol!
This is one of my favorite sentiments from the new stamp set. Have you heard the other version of this sentiment? "I love you from the bottom of my butt! I'd say the "bottom of my heart" but my butt is bigger!" BWAHAHAHA! How true, how true!
The stick pin that I stuck through the bow is from Pizzazz Aplenty. It was originally a regular "pearl" color, but I wanted it to match those champagne pearls so colored it with a Copic marker, I'd say it worked out pretty well, lol!

Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous TOSH! So...hop along and BE INSPIRED!:)

DS9~You're So Sweet!

Hello! How is everybody doing this fine morning? Well, it's this fine EVENING for me, here in Okinawa:) It's a lovely warm evening, thankfully it cools off enough at night to be bearable!

I guess you already know what this post is all about, right? A new Thursday, a new Deconstructed Sketch!

This week we have a SPONSOR! The first Thursday of each month are actually our sponsored sketches so you DEFINITELY want to play along, there are PRIZES!

This month, our sponsor is By Lori Designs!

You simply MUST go shopping in the BLD store, these are seriously some of the cutest images I've ever seen! I decided to play with Watermelon Smile, is she not the cutest??

I can't get over how much I love her and how FUN these images are to color! One of the things I love about digi stamps is the ability to resize! So if you want a smaller card, just resize her a little smaller. This card is 5x5.  I printed her out on Neenah Super Smooth white cardstock and then colored her with Copics to match the Happy Go Luck papers by MME (Lime Twist Collection). I used my B0000, B000, B00, and B02 Copics to do the sky behind her, and my Wheat Versamagic Chalk ink to sponge the outer edges. Here's a close-up of the coloring...

The sentiment is from Verve's "Thankful Accents". I thought it was PERFECT for this card:)

Make sure you stop by the Deconstructed Blog for details on the prize this week! You'll also get to see the rest of the DT's amazing creations:) Thanks for stopping by today!

Today, we're spotlighting a new set called New Mercies, and I really think you're going to love it!

This new set has a couple of these bush-type images (one large and one small) and a bunch of gorgeous sentiments and some smaller flower images! You're going to flip when you see the whole set! The sentiments are beautiful and have the most amazing font mixtures. Julee really has the greatest eye for fonts:) The patterned paper I used is from K&Co and the vellum butterflies were cut with a Martha Stewart punch. The rest of the card is pretty simple so I won't bore you with details.

Now hop on over to Sankari's blog! I can't wait to see what she has to share with us, she is just the sweetest and most talented gal around!

Here's the hop list, feel free to start at the beginning if you're just visiting me and didn't know about our little hop! You won't want to miss a single project, these ladies are amazing!

Sparkle Creations July *Karber* Preview--Reading Millie

Time for another Sparkle Creations sneak peek! Today, the Karber team is introducing Reading Millie!

I love the little "oh!" expression she has, I get that one when I'm reading a good twist, too;) I'm quite a book worm so I just love this stamp, it comes with that sentiment, too. I stamped a text background by PTI on the card base and the papers are from EP's Walk in the Park line.

So what do you think of the Karber release so far? I love these stamps, and if you love to color...you will too!  All stamps will be released on Saturday.

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Reading Millie. Sparkle will be giving away a Reading Millie to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Millie post. SCRSC #50-So Much Fun!

Hey there! I'm back today with a card for this weeks Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge #50! This week we have a fun sketch to play with, and I decided to break out the new, not-yet released Rainbow Leslie...

If you can't tell, I got my color inspiration from Sparkle's sketch image, lol! Pink and yellow together is one of my favorite color combinations, it's so bright and cheerful!

I think this is my favorite SCRS image to date, I just LOVE the rainbow! You don't *HAVE* to color a rainbow ROYGBIV, I colored mine to coordinate with my color pallette, and I gotta say I love a pink and yellow rainbow, lol! Add some sparkles and it's perfect!

Head on over to the SCRS Blog for a peek at the rest of the DT's cards and another sneak peek at a new set, being released on Saturday!
Have a great day:)

Hooray for you!

Hello:) I had some crafty time this morning so I whipped up another card for the Gallery Idol 2011 open call! The open call ends today so I'm just barely squeaking this one in, lol! I submitted four cards total, so I'm crossing my fingers! It's TOUGH competition this year, there are already over 1400 submissions, I doubt I'll be one of the top 20, but it was fun to play, anyway:)

I pulled out some PTI stamps for this one, along with MME's Lime Twist papers and my favorite MFT Rosette die!

I've had quite the exhausting weekend, how about you? Got lots of sun, lots of BBQ's, and now I'm ready for life to go back to normal this week, living in the gym and my scrapbook room, lol! Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July! See you back here tomorrow:)

Sparkle Creations July *Karber* Preview--Rainbow Leslie

Hey! I'm back with another post today:) If you're looking for my SFYTT card, scroll down a bit or CLICK HERE!

Today is the 1st day of the July Sparkle Creations Release previews! The Karber team is kicking things off with previews of a really sweet new image called "Rainbow Leslie"

Isn't she so adorable? I love how she's swinging from the rainbow:) The stamp will come all in one piece, the sentiment "so much fun" is right under Leslie, but I cut the sentiment separately so I could use it wherever I want:) I'm a rebel like that! So I stamped the sentiment and then cut it out with circles and attached it to the bow with twine.  I also added Crystal Ice Stickles to the rainbow, it's super sparkly and I love it!

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Rainbow Leslie. Sparkle will be giving away a Rainbow Leslie to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Leslie post. You have until midnight EST each day to comment. The lucky winner will be announced the following day!

July Diva Inspirations Hop!

Welcome to the July Diva Inspirations Blog Hop! Our Diva Inspirations team and several special guests from the Release team are here to start your month off right with a little Verve inspiration! Take a little peek at each of the fabulous blogs below for some Verve-alicious eye candy and you just might win some Vervey goodness of your very own!

I decided to mix this week's Viva la Verve! sketch challenge with a couple stamp sets that haven't seen ink in awhile:) In case you haven't seen the new VLV July Week 1 sketch yet, here it is--

I think square cards are my favorite, mostly because I love the symmetry. They're so fun! I really like this sketch and think you will to. It's perfect for using those smaller stamps, or maybe even some flowers, or just squares of patterned paper. Lots of ideas, so I hope you play with us this week:)

Here's my card using the sketch and our July Stamp of the Month, Carpe Cupcake!

I stamped all the cupcakes on the punched squares, and then stamped them again on random patterns from MME's Happy Go Lucky paper pad. I colored the cupcake bottoms with my Copics and then paper-pieced the tops. The sentiment is from Birthday Bash, another really fun birthday set with lots of fun stamps.

Now it's time to hop on along to the BRILLIANT Amy's blog! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
