Hello there! I'm so sorry my post is a couple hours late. I'm visiting family up in beautiful Montana and loving every minute of it :)
Today we're starting our May release spotlight hops and starting it off with a super cute set called Button Best!
For the green card panel, I cut a whole bunch of sprigs out with one of the new dies releasing this month, called Sprightly Sprigs. I love how it kind of looks like a coverplate! the flowers from Button Best were cut out with the new Petal Points die set and then I stamped and embossed the flowers with white EP. I stamped some of the buttons and then cut them out with my Spellbinders circle dies. The sentiment die was cut with the Flourish Trim die.
As I often do with sentiment stamps, I cut this one apart so I could stamp it in different colors. You could just mask off one word and stamp and then mask off the other word and stamp, but I've ruined so many cards by getting ink on a part I didn't mean to, that I just cut them if I can:) I'm crazy like that!
Since we LOVE to share our Verve, we've got a giveaway every day this week! Just hop around to the blogs on today's hop and tell us what you think in the comments at each stop and you'll be entered in a drawing to win today's featured products! Woohoo!
Next up is Maureen! , hop on over to see what she did with Button Best!

What a great idea! Love the way you created the background! Faux cutting plate! I love it! The added glimmer is a bonus too!
Love the die cut background of your card.
I love how you created the negative background on purpose! I am always cutting out die shapes and never thought of randomly placing them on a background layering piece of cs to use on another card.
What a fab idea to use a die to make your back ground paper, I must try that. Your card is so lovely and fresh and with a change of sentiment it's great for any time.

NIce card! Love how you used the negative die cut background. I never think of doing this until after a card is finished. Then I think "I should have...' You know how that goes!!!!!!

What an AHA inspirational moment and all thanks to you, since you've used the dies on the background layer. I love that die set anyway, but you made it SUPER great.
