This week, I think I really stumped the girls. It's a technique {twist} and what I thought might be a couple fun techniques to try turned out to be a couple tough ones? Either way, sorry about that, lol! I was trying to be nice, ha!
I chose to showcase the Poppin' Pastels and Burned Batik techniques. These are a couple really fun techniques and I created a card using both! Click on the technique names above to be taken to the SCS Tutorial for the techniques.
Here are my cards!
This one is for the Poppin' Pastels technique. The leaves are stamped in Versamark and then I went over them with my SU! Pastels:
The leaves are from Forever in Our Hearts and the verse is from 1 Peter 5:7. Such a beautiful verse, I've always loved it:)The next card is quite brigh IRL and quite fun:) I used the Burned Batik technique. This was really fun and I'm sure to use it again!
I stamped the background from Artful Elegance in Versamark, embossed it with clear ink, sprayed with water and then sponged Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo on it! The stamps are from Miracles Blossom. If you want to try one of these techniques and the sketch, I encourage you to try out this weeks Viva la Verve challenge:)
On another note, I went to my dear dear friend Christy's house today! We had fun stampin, listening to her iPod, and chattin the morning away! I would have stayed for HOURS longer but I'm in prison today (on call) and had to be home at noon. Darn it! It's all good though, we're gonna go see The Proposal tomorrow, I'm excited:)
While she stole my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities for a couple hours, I made this card!
It's Yoko & Ono by Stamping Bella! Aren't they CuuuuuuuUUUUUuute??? SUPAH! The paper is by PTI, it's called Green Leaves. I also used some borrowed-from-Christy-but-not-really-cause-she-can't-use-em-anymore-flat back bon-bons by Stamping Bella! Those babies are fun and I'm gonna buy some for ME!
One last card, just cause I'm in a good mood and had TONS of stamping time today since I was in prison {aka on-call}...
It's Flamenca Ketto! Ain't she adorable? I colored her with Copics and used BSC78 for the sketch layout:) The sentiment is from Filigree Fantasy by Verve, I kinda curled it under, it looks cool IRL but you can't really tell from the picture!Well, that's it for me today, I'll be back with more tomorrow:) Thanks for coming by, have a great Saturday!

I *tried* to steal the Cuttlebug and Nesties for longer than two hours but you wouldn't let me :p All your cards look great Sistah! And oh yeah, you shamed me into updating my blog too :D I worked very slowly yesterday but I did finally finish that layout!! See you this afternoon, I'm looking forward to the movie!
Wow! These are all fabulous, Amber! I love the DIY background with the colorful leaves on the 1 Peter card. The burned batik looks so cool - I must try it. And the KETTOS!!! OMG - you know I love them! Fabulous work, girlfriend!
