May Day Hip Hop!

Are you wondering why we're focusing on May day on March 26th? Well we're just trying to get some ideas flowing for you so you'll be prepared! Are you not familiar with May Day? Neither was I, lol! Check out THIS link for a brief history.

The general idea is to create baskets and fill them with flowers, candy, treats, etc... and drop them off on a neighbors door step, hit the door bell, and RUN! Well, that's the modern day way to celebrate, but if you read that website it tells you how it originated:)
If you're new to the Hip Hop, start at Angela's blog and work your way through the DT blogs and when you reach the end, you will be eligible to win some Unity Sugar (blog candy)!!!

In honor of this holiday, I made a basket! I used a mytimeless template from PTI called Basket Basics. This basket is so fun!

I made the basket with a couple pieces of Bashful Blue cardstock. I created the basket trim out of Chocolate Chip cardstock that I cut with my scalloped lace edge punch by SU! I tied some Chocolate ribbon (PTI) and Basful Blue ribbon (SU!) Around the top and let a few lengths dangle around the basket. The stamp set I used is Love in the Air. This is really one of my favorites, I just *adore* that hot air balloon! I am going to give this basket to a friend of mine, we're having a "mommy shower" for her next weekend since she's having another boy. I decided I still wanted to make her something for Gabe (that's his name) so I'm going to go hunting for a white Onesie and will stamp this hot air balloon on it and roll it up and put it in the basket! I'll post that when I'm done with it cause I think it's going to be SO CUTE!

Have you heard about the WORLD'S LARGEST BLOG HOP yet??? If you haven't, click HERE for the thread to sign up! So far, we have well over 130 people signe up! That's going to be ONE GIANT BLOG HOP! All you *have* to do is use Unity Stamps on your project, post it by 10:00 am CST on 28 March 09 (This SATURDAY!) and enjoy the blog hop starting at 11:00 CST on the Unity Stamp Blog!

Only a couple more days to get your March KOM! This has been one of my favorites and I'm sure it's one you'll reach for again and again! Don't miss out on your opportunity to get this awesome kit for only 29.95 (24.95 for the kit, 5.00 for shipping). Click HERE to see how to join the KOM club!
